Apparently, the cameraman shot the attack.

Doubt if the footage will ever see the light of day, though.

Probably been destroyed already.

This is only the 3rd reported death in Australia from a stingray attack most are very curious. Extremely unfortunate that Steve was in the wrong place at the wrong time and it got it in the chest area. Anywhere else and he probably would have survived. Another mistake he made was also to pull the barb out of his chest if he left it in his chances of surviving might have been improved.

Just saw a newsflash on 10 saying the same thing.

Ghoulish as this might sound...but some producer out there will try their best to get their grubby hands on this footage.

Apparently the footage will only be released if Steve's wife gives permission for it to be. No network would be dumb enough show that without permission (you would hope).

But why should we have to watch something when somebody dies? the Child shrinks are saying that it would be best if that parents see kids who are upset as this tragedy it is best to talk it out loud. Watching vision would only make it worse.

Listening to JJJ's a few weeks back and they were reviewing a doco on a nutcase who thought he was a polar bear and he flimed himself living with them and ultimately he was attacked and died. I know this is possibly more horrific than this incident in question but the director couldn't even bring himself to put vision into the final scene of the doco only audio and he said that was too much in his opinion. People rang in and said they felt physically sick listening to this. How is this any different when this is published in the Current Affairs programs when the general poplulation might not be as tolerant as these people who saw the doco.

Germain Greer is at it again.

Sinking the boot into Irwin.

Irrelevance just doesn't sit well with her, does it?

I cant believe people in buying and selling on ebay this type of thing purely to make a profit. Ebay.com needs to toughen their morals to stop these type of things from happening. Same goes for people who get a autograph from someone and sell it - very poor taste!!

Germain Greer - never had any time for her.

http://www.smh.com.au/news/World/Irwin- ... 09840.html

And I quote :

"The animal world has finally taken its revenge on Irwin, but probably not before a whole generation of kids in shorts seven sizes too small has learned to shout in the ears of animals with hearing ten times more acute than theirs, determined to become millionaire animal-loving zoo-owners in their turn."

Pathetic.
