Looks to be a hot comp. Good game out at Smithfield yesterday, unfortunatly for us we didn't get the points, but we'll carry on and give the dogs a real crack next week. Good to meet you to LM, I was happy to see Wanganeen go off in the 2nd, seemed to change the game imho. And when he comes back on he kicks a blinder from the South-Western pocket and that was in the end the winner. CAN PLAY

Doubt it. Need Croucher to kick 15 + goals for to Kookas.

im led to believe chris james has been cleared back to smithfield. if this is the case its good result for the lad and smithfield and a loss for willaston, hopefully he has learnt his lesson, will be a smithfield player for life now as no other club will want to touch him IMO.

Yeah, he has some talent, probably won the game for us in the end, you guys were excellent, just wouldn't lay down, the young ruckman was sensational with his efforts late in the game when it appeared over, he kept his feet, chased and played well beyond his years.
I thought the umpiring wasn't too crash hot again, holding the ball decisions were all over the shop, no consistency whatsoever. The classic moment was late in the game when the older fella tried to call a free from 100 metres away, the ump that was 5 metres away didn't agree with him so he balled it up.
There has definetely been some improvement out at Kenilworth this season, given that you still have a few out offers some promise for the Kenilworth faithful. I can't believe the poor kicking for the day, 46.67 for the two games combined in pretty still conditions, may of been a result of plenty of pressure being put on the player with the sherrin.

This is already shaping up to be a very even competition, away wins are going to be the essence for where clubs will finish, it's too difficult to even contemplate where teams are at so far.

The young ruckman is only 17, talented young player.

I heard that he is younger than that, nevertheless, talented and a big unit, how many Weet-Bix's does he do.

kookas is wrong..the kid plays in the under 16 competition..kookas is thinking of strobel who is 17 and is another of our young ruckmen..and yes he has always been a big unit for his age..loved his sheer enthusiasm for the game on saturday..sorry i couldnt hang around LM..i lingered for a few minutes but really had to get going

as for the umps..u summed it up with the "ball up" incident..that was meant to be a free for us but ended being balled up 15 m out fom your goal..they were hopeless..their inability to pay "holding the balls" was disgraceful..also what about the "50m" penalty murphy got in the last 10 minutes, when he was 40m out and he ends up 20m out from goal..should have been on the goal line..just useless orange muppets wrecking good games..one is 60 years old ffs :(

I'll stop in for one with you on the return leg. I think 60 is being generous. It was a pretty clean game that would've benfitted by the umpires putting their whistles away.

It was a clean and hard in close game. Only problem was I reckon both teams need a couple more weeks to fine tune their foot skills. There were alot of targets missed by a fair way...not to mention the goal kicking. At least Smithfield should get the percentage boost this week!

A lot of hoo-ha about nothing. Willaston takes him to their club, gets him pissed and offers him what I'm led to believe as a poultry $70 per game. Chris James signed nothing.

All the kid wants to do is play with his mates, and from what I hear has no intentions of wanting to play at a higher level.

Even as late as Saturday night the Willaston B grade coach (Moss?) was trying to lure him back to Willaston to play B grade, in the Smithfield clubrooms no less!

The little red car may correct me on anything if Im wrong here...
