He got offered a chicken and $70 a game???

Thats a good deal, chicken is expensive...

Hope the chicken hasn't starred in any North Melbourne home movies, could be well and truly stuffed! 8)

A lot of hoo-ha about nothing. Willaston takes him to their club, gets him pissed and offers him what I'm led to believe as a poultry $70 per game. Chris James signed nothing.

All the kid wants to do is play with his mates, and from what I hear has no intentions of wanting to play at a higher level.

Even as late as Saturday night the Willaston B grade coach (Moss?) was trying to lure him back to Willaston to play B grade, in the Smithfield clubrooms no less!

The little red car may correct me on anything if Im wrong here...

There is plenty of truth in that post, is there anything that gets past you.

It was a clean and hard in close game. Only problem was I reckon both teams need a couple more weeks to fine tune their foot skills. There were alot of targets missed by a fair way...not to mention the goal kicking. At least Smithfield should get the percentage boost this week!

u hit the nail on the head there..some horrible kicking from both teams

fwiw i thought 27 got an absolute bath from our full back in his first game for our club..moss snuck under our guard..brown was covered nicely

Yeah, the big fella struggled a bit this week. You boys have some good sized recruits all over the ground actually. Give Jess a couple more games and he'll be in the swing of it. Hasn't played in about 5 years. It's also hard to mark kicks that sit on your head for about 5 minutes

Don't sell yourself short Bondy, we missed you on the weekend, you normally have a good game against Kenilworth.

Yes LM I mentioned during the A's that I was glad I didnt see the long sleeved number 1 playing for you blokes, mind you the bloke who probably would have played on him for us didnt play either so it was even as far as im concerned  . We are getting better each week, put 4 quaters on the board and we will start seeing some results. Judging by bulldogs007's comment were no chance so we better look ahead ;)

You don't have to be a Kerrigan to tell em they're dreaming. Chris James in B grade for crying out loud...

At the end of the day, we are playing amateur footy, for the love of it (I would hope from the majority of players, anyway), and to share it with our mates, the whole situation was needless.

I think my crazy hair scared all the customers away - Bunnings hauled me in and gave me an ear-bashing for turning away their business...

Nah we did alright, slowed down a bit given the time of day but the stint was fun. :D
