Can any Portland boys shed some light on the incident during the B grade? One of the Portland players came off injured, the A grade coach said something to him, next minute you know the player is swearing and carrying on and fronting up to the A grade coach, they shoved each other, then a couple of blokes had to intervene and hold them both back. I’m sure there was nothing much in it but it didn’t look too good to be honest.

yeah well done to our lads in the A's, unlucky not to get the points but still will ave lifted the boys spirits after the week before!!

the incident with the player and A grade coach, dont think alot was in it
the player that came off can be a little hot headed at times, that was just a moment of it!
think he would have been frustated at doing an injury
I was playing while it happened so can only go on second hand knowledge.
Havent heard any more on the subject so Im guessing that was the last of it!

Also heard someone say that walkerville had 8 of last years A graders in the C's and also 12 of last years A graders in thr B's on the weekend!
does this mean that walkerville have bought/acquired a whole new A grade side or was someone wrongly informed or telling lies??
if so that would explain why there B's were probs the best B grade side I have ever played against!!

Nah, way off mate. There may be that many blokes who have played A grade before, but you would call very few of them regular A graders from last season. And of course we’ve recruited some players but the nucleus is still pretty similar to what we had last year.

Yep, Smid exploded and finished with 13 goals.

It was me Grail. Nothing in it at all and to back up the Fist I can be a very angry man at times. Just got very pissed at the thought of missing out on any more footy. Apologies done story over. I must admit for anyone to see that sort of disrespect coming from a player to a coach and vice versa is terrible and does not make our club look good as whole in any respect. So I guess that topic is over.

Yeah, I didn’t think there’d be much in it but as you say, it’s really the appearance of it that’s the main problem. If it happened behind closed doors or on the training track, who gives a toss, but in front of supporters and the opposition, not the best look.

Nah i knew it didn't look good but when your down and possibly on the way out you tend to do some stupid things. On the topic of footy. Your blokes were pretty much the best I've seen a side play so early on in the season. Full praise to your side. This gives us the opportunity now to step back and have a look at what went wrong and focus on it. That would be the only real positive from it i think. We will fight back from this. We have been in similar positions in the past and have turned it around we will do it again. Might not be next week but I hope to christ it is but we will

You blokes are hopeless! No committee changes no trouble in paradise, Yes disappointing second half vs Seaton and none of us happy with it but thats footy in the higher grades. Compete or else! That's our options.

How does someone like Waterhouse act when they come to a SAAFL club? Is it the good old look at me thing or are they pretty good about it?
