We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

I had to get to the fourth tip before someone picked SMOSH...

Is this a Portland forum? I mean I know I'm still out :P but surely the Lions would still have a the cattle!

Para Hills looked a pretty good unit last week. Lots of pace and the key was very good footskills and use of the ball going forward. Didn't really give our defenders much Opportunity.

They tend to back themselves too - run forward of the ball and what not. No.7 off half back was particularly good, but allowed his man a lot of space.

Btw, whats up with the old fella near the coaches box - all he does is swear and abuse everyone? Is he an official or just a supporter? All well and good to be loyal and a bit of banter, but there's gotta be a line with abuse, especially considering his proximity to the Oppostiion bench and interchange gates.

Despite what is written on here Turbo, you guys are still red-hot favourites. We have a bit of confidence back though after getting flogged in round 1. We put in a better effort last week, and we have some good inclusions last week and this week - i think we had about 9 premiership players playing in round 1, we will have 15 in this week, so no excuses for us as far as players go. Whether all this means we perform better tomorrow, well, who knows. I have seen plenty of 'good on paper' sides get pumped over the years, and plenty of depleted teams win. I do know for sure that we will have to be at our very best to even break even with you blokes.

SMOSH West Lakes v Portland
Scotch OC v Woodville South

Mitcham v Old Ignatians

Really looking forward to our game, love playing Para Hills anytime but on ANZAC Day should be a ripper. You PH boys are welcome to come back in the club and have a beer after, place should be full of old diggers that have come over from the RSL next door.

And turbo, you better be alright come Round 9, or I could be the only ranga on the ground copping it...

Shoulder injury of sorts -Diving round the Outfield in cricket season.

Might be running Did's B's first up, then A's the following round.

Running in the a's is too intense - too many bloody rotations, too many messages.

The B grade coach doesn't know what hes doing, so I just send my own messages out instead.

Horrible coach that guy.

Sorry let me Explain.

The para Hills supporters were down near the clubrooms and were reasonbly well behaved from what I saw. They'd had their fair share of beers, but all good mainly.

The only problem was this old dude wearing a glasses and a red and white striped top - abusing everyone swearing his head off.

He was abusing players coming off the ground and on the ground and teh SMOSH bench. Yet seemed to be a apart of the Para Hills heirarchy on the bench.

Was jsut seeking some clairfication on whether he was part of the PH side/officialdom and why nothing was done to curb his attitude.

Like I said, bit of abuse/banter is good for the atmosphere, but theres a line and he was pretty rough at times...

I have always found the PH supporters in front of the rooms very amusing. Some absolute belter comments can usually be heard from their direction. I can remeber hearing them say something one day to one of our supporters, and i struggled to hold in the laughter. It was gold !!!

I do have problems with people standing near coaches boxes, and abusing players/support staff trying to do a job. The match day official should be moving people on if thats happening.

The chap concerned is a life member, a very loyal & passionate supporter and was a very good (and well behaved at the time) junior coach. He is not a formal part of the club in anyway - however, that does not excuse his behaviour last week. Aside from the coaching panel, other club officials were in the clubhouse vicinity doing their jobs & were not aware of any situation at the time - otherwise it would have been addressed right there and then.

A complaint was made by one of our club members and the issue was raised at our committee meeting this week, the person will be spoken to before tomorrow's game, I am confident we have the matter in hand.........

As has been mentioned previously, we are endeavouring to introduce a professional approach to the running of our club both on and off the field - this behaviour is not part of our ethos & will not be tolerated. Please do not condemn us as a club on the back of one "unofficial" person's demeanour.

On behalf of the Para Hills Football Club, I apologise for any offence he may have caused.
