Is this a Portland forum? I mean I know I'm still out :P but surely the Lions would still have a the cattle!

Para Hills looked a pretty good unit last week. Lots of pace and the key was very good footskills and use of the ball going forward. Didn't really give our defenders much Opportunity.

They tend to back themselves too - run forward of the ball and what not. No.7 off half back was particularly good, but allowed his man a lot of space.

Btw, whats up with the old fella near the coaches box - all he does is swear and abuse everyone? Is he an official or just a supporter? All well and good to be loyal and a bit of banter, but there's gotta be a line with abuse, especially considering his proximity to the Oppostiion bench and interchange gates.

Let's get started on the PH supporters again

Sorry let me Explain.

The para Hills supporters were down near the clubrooms and were reasonbly well behaved from what I saw. They'd had their fair share of beers, but all good mainly.

The only problem was this old dude wearing a glasses and a red and white striped top - abusing everyone swearing his head off.

He was abusing players coming off the ground and on the ground and teh SMOSH bench. Yet seemed to be a apart of the Para Hills heirarchy on the bench.

Was jsut seeking some clairfication on whether he was part of the PH side/officialdom and why nothing was done to curb his attitude.

Like I said, bit of abuse/banter is good for the atmosphere, but theres a line and he was pretty rough at times...

Turbo i believe that this was a father of one of Para Hills imfamous recruits. You do the Maths.
This person has been a problem at other clubs before!!!

regarding the "supporter" you are talking about, I have just rang the "A" grade coach to qualify the situation. The so called supporter is definitly not a parent of any player at Para Hills. This problem WILL be rectified.

If it's the old guy I seem to cop shit from when near the benches, he's harmless enough. Annoying, but harmless.

Gees, pretty up front and honest.

Like I said ealier, had no problem whatsoever with the boys in front of the rooms - some of the calls were pretty humorous really - or anyone else for that matter.

Fair play to para Hills - hosted a good day and were deserved victors in the end. Good for our boys to be able to have a few beers in the rooms afterwards too.

Pretty happy with the guernsey's for the weekend Scotsman? Looked fantastic last night. Shatetred to not be pulling the old st micks guernsey on.

Yeah mate we will be in there after the game for sure. for quite a few of our boys it will feel like cricket season there is 5 of them, they even have the northern districts corner tuesday and thursday nights at PHFC.
Haha, yeah I guess it's their home for six months of the year too.

What happened to DK? Not playing this week?

Quite simple, there are 3 different clubs involved. Obviously the Northern Jets players made the right decision to play for Para Hills :D :D :D

I'll have a chat with No.7 and make sure he doesnt allow his opponent too much space in the future ;)

I reckon if you super glued him to his opponent, he would still find a way to play his own game!!!!!

Crappy weather, probably the worst Ive played in. We had a red hot crack in the first half. We were both evenly matched. The ump brought them back into the game in the 2nd quarter. But that really is not an excuse. They played really well in the conditions. Good signs for us though. Didn't really get to see much of the A's. Schwidder at his best in the orange.

Saw a pretty good side on the weekend in SMOSH. Dont think it rained during the A grade, but the wind was ridiculously strong. Ground was ok, but parts of it were quite boggy. They got the jump on us early, but once we settled, thought we matched it with them in parts. They couldn't shake us for 3 quarters, but we never really threatened to take the lead. SMOSH's superior fitness definately a factor in the last quarter, when it blew out a bit. Also, SMOSH's better decision making and footy-smarts told in the final result. And probably their bigger, stronger bodies in the conditions.

Our effort on the weekend, and last week, would have won us the game against most of the teams in D4 last year. We need to add some smarter play to our bash-and-crash game style.

Does this show the step between div 4 and 3 really? and also, Golden Grove having a tough time in Div 4, show the gap between 4 and 5 again?

smosh are definatly a good side, i dont think they really had any standout on the day which is understandable due to the conditions but have a pretty even spread across the board, our footskills were what really hurt us on saturday and you could say we kicked ourself out of the game, although we are 0-3 i still think its exciting times for our team and to have captain luke granlese back next week will help steady the ship down back, just need to turn some of these honourable loses in to good wins, as honourable loses dont keep you in div 3
