I am not saying elizabeth arent all that good. When i played them in 07,08 they gave us a run for our money and went at it all day. So they are a good team but im stating 2 wins out fo their current wins this season werent all that hard. I guess only time will tell.....

Mate just pipe down till u come to Argana Park and beat us.

As much as it pains me 2 say it. I rate anyside that can go to Anderson Walk and win! Just quietly the bar had a good take last night apparently ;)

A disappointing result in the end, it was a great game to watch, I was standing with Drop Bear during the last quarter when I suggested that the only fair result was a draw, the lead see-sawed, we kicked what should've been the sealer with less than a minute remaining then Elizabeth took it out of the centre and banged it forward to unseal it.

Elizabeth's determination was superb, we were up narrowly going into the last quarter kicking against the breeze, we opened the gap up to a couple of goals but just couldn't hold on to the lead.

I must admit that I had my doubts, I thought we were a bit under-manned going into the game, the team that I thought we'd have earlier in the week was significantly different to the one we fielded.

This weeks clash at Pulteney is going to be a very hard gig, hopefully we have a few in's, 2 and 3 would not be the start Oldy would want, we've been in worse situations previously, we just need to notch up enough wins to keep in touch and hopefully we can string a few together at full strength, a couple more injuries on the weekend has not helped our cause.

On the rating of Elizabeth topic, I still think that it is a little too early to go drawing up premiership favourites, I know they had a couple of players out on the weekend aswell, they seem to be a well balanced side and have a fair amount of experience at their disposal. They would definetely have to be in the mix atm, I still think that any of the top 8 sides are capable of beating each other, it's the away wins that will be so important along with the journey out to Panther Park, Kenilworth can cause some nightmares for the year aswell I think.

That was the most disappointing thing! It only took the Eagles 10 seconds to kick that last goal. It was a good game to watch though. Not a bad local derby!

kenilworth is causing nightmares for itself..dont wory about what we might do to others LM :)

very impressed with wos in the a's and b's..oval was in great shape to..well done dragons

emerson: in the end with edwardstown going to the sfl only one team was relegated..so its not like we had a choice with which grade we wanted to be in..obviously you want to play as high as you can but in the end only one team was relegated and that was centrals..you cant pick grades based on the players you have for the year..you have to take your medicine..when you lose you look slow and unfit so i dont think thats quite fair, its about perception and wos were top shelf on the weekend and we werent..LM can tell you we didnt look slow and unfit out at smithfield or against blacks..but yes confidence has dropped off now and we got punished on saturday..a number of our talls are out injured atm so we play a 16 and 17 year old in the ruck..life goes on..

I'm by no means saying they should be prem favourites either, just want to make that clear.
But as you said, if they maintain form, they will be in the mix.
I've seen the Eags start off like this before and die off just as quick.
Hopefully it's not the case this year.

Just wanna say we've been in Ingle farms position not so long ago.... we no how hard it can be, keep at it, cause it will turn around. I give you guys credit you never stopped trying, which is a good sign. i played b's and you guys were a good bunch of blokes, no probs at all. a lesser club would of been undisipline but you guys just kept trying... i respect that... good work guys and keep your chins up... it will turn around soon..

Thank you, and i know everyone at the club would appreciate the comments. Its easy to rad results in the paper and see how far off we were, but everyone worked their guts out and fought as hard as they could, sure was still a massive loss but we really felt like we improved on other games and our intensity and hunger was there all day.

Also might i say what a man mountain of a ruckman you have in the A grade, centre clearances is where the quick goals came from IMO.

I watched Ingle Farm on the weekend and i must say they gained a bit of respect in my book after what i saw from them on and off the field.

Facts are they haven't got the cattle, and speculation on here from a few weeks ago are that things are not all that good off the field either. What i saw on saturday is a side that threw everything they had at Plympton all day, and never resorted to the biff, which would be the easy loser way out that we see a lot of meat head teams do.

After the game i saw a lot of green and white shirts around the bar which was a great sight, especially with the positions our two clubs are geographically, to stop in and have a beer was awesome. I also spent a bit of time at the bar with your skip, said hi and listened to a few things he had to say about where his club was, is, and where he wants it to go. I umpired Ingle Farms a bit last year in the A Grade and wanted to have a chat with him about the club. That man is an absolute asset to your club, his leadership on the field apears as if it transcends off the field also, and if there were more leaders like that around the place the world would be in good stead.

Maybe i've got a soft spot because Plympton were in that position only 4 years ago, a winless season in D4 and financial struggles off field, i played a few in the A's that year and we got belted to oblivion. Anyway, i hope everyone at IF rallies together and looks at the bigger picture, you certainly have a lot of players and spectators respect here at plympton.

PS - publish that shrek!

Good comeback by Hope Valley on Weekend
I didnt see or hear the incident after the game but have been told about it and its disappointing cos one blokes carry on brings the club down
Although we were all p*ssed at losing from where we were there is no room for that
Apologies to Hope Valley Fc.

I am not saying for 1 minute or using this as an excuse that we lost cos there was 5 other goals in the 10 minutes that saw Hope Valley home
But the goal that was awarded when clearly touched 2 feet inside the line is not a good thing for your club
Would have been the only thing taking away from a great comeback win
I know the players cant change the guys mind and the players dont make the calls but would maybe leave a litlle sourness knowing that happened

Again one bloke that may bring your club down

And fc thanks for the praise
Dont think wardy (or whatever his name is) will get away with what he did next game ;)

Well said Horse. According to your players our goal umpire made a bad decision but there were a couple of others during the game which went your way. Thats footy I guess. Was good to see Wardy get the honours this time because I rekon you took him to the cleaners one day when you were playing for St. Pauls a few years ago. 8)

anyone from Blackfriars able to enlighten us as to why you employ a man mountain dressed as a security guard to be your match day official? a bit over the top IMO especially when you don't sell beer  ;)

well We were in a different division last year...........

surely it is a waste of money paying a security guard to give the umpires a drink a couple of times and unlock their change room door for them just for a minor round game.

Maybe it could be justified for a final depending on the opposition ;) ;)
