Liverpool are a good side and it pains me to say that... this season they are really pushing United for the title and I hate it. To lose the title to Liverpool is almost as bad as losing a Grand Final to Port!

Arshavin's goals were quality finishes but bloody hell the defending was absolutely shocking by Liverpool.
I have only seen his goals though, not Liverpool's.
Terrible by 'Pool to push so many men forward for that corner, yeah they had to win but you need men back to defend, especially against an Arsenal side which counter attacks so well.

Here are Arshavin's goals anyway: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLnqXYq5HGs

Watched the Foxsports highlights and Arshavin butchered his first shot early on and the crowd (as they do) got stuck right into him ... Have a feeling I might know who had the last laugh on that one

He's supposed to be a Spurs player too!

Question - is he right or left footed? Hit 2 with each foot, 1 pile driver with each (2nd and 4th which were both amazing - what confidence to be able to back yourself to do that).

Loved Carra's assist there for the 3rd goal too.

Bloody Arsenal though

The Premier League is rigged, corrupt and a complete disgrace. Those pricks in the FA should hang their heads in shame. Whoever made the call to Webb at half time and instructed him to change the game like that should be locked up.

Anyone who thinks that was a penalty today against Gomes know **** all about football and should do us all a favour and take a bath with a toaster.

Howard Webb is supposed to be the best ref in the country. Bollox.

Today is a reason why people don't like football. A diving cheating twat in a top 4 side is awarded a penalty for falling over when clearly beaten, against the run of play which rips the heart out of the underdog who up to that point was handing out a football lesson to the more fancied counterparts. Now, I'll admit that after the penalty was converted, Spurs lost their way, dropped their heads and played very poorly. But the catalyst for that was a ******* disgraceful decision which just like the Blackburn game turned things against us.

When we lose fair and square to a better side, I accept it, acknowledge it and move on. Today spurs were robbed by Webb's decision. It makes me so frigging angry to see the sort of injustice dished out today.

So bloody angry and disappointed.

Rant over.

Why wasn't Palacios even carded early on? He should have been sent off for that disgraceful 2 foot lunge at Ronaldo. If he had connected he could have broken his leg. No punishment though, and too many players go in for stupid tackles these days without being punished.

If he had been shown the red card then you guys may not have scored your two first half goals.

I agree, that was a disgraceful lunge.

But you saying that too many players go unpunished is a bit rich coming from a Utd fan. I distinctly remember Ronaldo kicking Dawson while he was on the ground at the Lane an guess what - no punishment.

And we battered Utd in the first half. Palacios off might have changed things, but we were still giving Utd a lesson.

UTD get the rub of the green once more.
In the space of 3 minutes, Rooney on another day would've been sent off for recklessly trying to kick the ball when in a players lap, and a CLEAR handball in the area against Vidic.
Vidic was close to the play when it struck him but I've seen them given.

Can see this being either a draw or United go on to score 2 or 3 more as Boro push for the equaliser.

i think if that had have been down the other end in then they would have got a penalty. And agree on rooney reckles act and surely if a middlesbrough player had have done that to man united player he would have been sent off.

I didn't see what Rooney did but that Vidic handball was not a penalty. The ball struck his arm, not the other way around. There is no way that should have been a penalty, what else was he supposed to do?

Vidic could do nothing about it.
IT was just mentioned that those handballs have been given in the past.

No question that if it was Utd appealing, surrounding the ref, Rooney, Ronaldo, Ferdinand ranting, abusing and threatening the official that a penalty would have been awarded. 100% certainty.

its a hard one tho aswell, seen as in another game a penalty was awarded to man city for a lessor offence for a hand ball then vidics, but as we all know it comes down to the ref.

Offside goal for Liverpool puts them 1-0 over a plucky Newcastle.

No excuses for the second goal. Kuyt unmarked in the box, heads in from five metres out on a corner.

2 - 0. 30 played.
