Saw mark of the year on saturday, and Adelaide lutheran player was running back with the flight of the ball, who looks more like a jockey, tool the mark from an oncoming Leon Karvelis, who is about 6"0 and 80+ kilos. Both players clashed, the Lutheran player took the mark and keep his feet, where Leon ended up flat on his back out cold. Inspiring stuff.

Umpires were inconsistent for both teams. Fitzroy are not that flash, they can be beaten.

CBCOC came out in each quarter full of run and would kick the first 3 or 4 goals and greenies would peg them back and go into the breaks even or a few points up. Good effort by our boys, some would say we got out of jail again but the players have a solid belief that they can run over teams late in every quarter and be in front when it matters.

Not sure CBCOC handled the hard body that well either and I think they may have few injuries as a result

All in all a good game played in good spirit..well done CBCOC and even better done by Greenies

I only watched the 1st quarter and CBC were matching you body for body. Was a good quarter with CBC missing too many goals. Must admit, there were a lot of big guys in both sides

The only CBC injury I saw was King Kong stepping on the ball and landing on his neck.........

Salis West v Unley- Fantastic hard quick game of football. Skills lacking at times but intensity from both teams very good. Unley will be a top 5 side. Might not crack the best two, but have plenty of good players. They have to get smarter and get some winning belief. Scores equal with prob 12 min left and Westies get 3 in a row to kill of the game. Pleasure to watch

Very disappointing support for PAC on the weekend, you'll never see a player of Ricuitto's ilk again in div 4 let alone amateur league throughout the year, most of the people there were from either havens or surrounding clubs to see a legend of the game. What the GPS in the Merc dont register in Pt Adelaide, results aside poor performance PAC

Whats going on with GG?? Is it a case of no Scudds, no GG?I know its still early in the season, but thought they would be pushing for another GF berth this yr with their depth.

Seen Pooraka play a few games this year and IMO are looking pretty good (with the exception of 1 shocker). Good close knit team with some great young players running around. Still got some good players to come back in yet apparently.

he wasn't one of the players that was red-carded. Dont think there was a red card for the game. Regarding the 'king hit' i dont want to get too much into it, but it did cost lutheran the game.

Lol. To say it cost Lutheran the game is not quite on the money champ, particularly when Fitzroy won by 5 goals 9. Who is this superstar he hit?...........I thought Riccuito was playn for PAOC.

They had poor support last year at away games. The car thieves at our club were rubbing there hands together with the thought of a plethora of luxury cars in our carpark last year - to no avail though!

Yeah thats young Sammy Scudds..... he was offered Shanes $$ contract by GG this year but said he wanted to play div 1. Came out very unfit and has worked hard to get in shape for this season including training with GG on the opposite nights

Was very surprised to see baby Scudds in the goalkickers list FS

Just wondering how he managed to defy the orders of Fab Phil and sneak that far down the ground

*edit - oops, wrong grade, but not completely off topic as subject topic is Scudds ;) *

Sam has been playing either in the ruck or up and CHF this year..... Phil played him there a bit late in the year and played well

he will prob stay up forward as we have a few young ruckman coming from our under 18's that we will use in the ruck

Watched the game on the weekend and two things came to my attention!
1) Pooraka have a lot more depth this year than in previous years. Something ridiculous like 29 players missing within the 3 teams. There was 6 changes from last weeks A grade side that played North Haven. To our credit though the boys who came up from the B's held their own.

2) Golden Grove looked very young and small. Seemed to run the ball quite well but to me lacked any real dominating big men. Spoke to a member of GG and they have pretty much a full strength side on the park apart from Scudds. I think they will still be ok but against some of the bigger bodied teams like Fitzroy and Salisbury West I think they will struggle.
