If they had stopped the game at half time, it would have just been another 50 goal loss, and the same thing would keep happening every week. Maybe now Callington, after this 80 goal loss will now give up and fold, which is certainly better for the other 8 teams in the comp. Or go down to c grade or whatever, which is also better for the other 8 teams. It is unfortunate, however that doesnt take away from the fact that Callington clearly no longer deserve to be an A grade side in Hills Country. What happened on Saturday is a disgrace, but not on Kersbrooks part.
Probably not the best call. Its never good to see a club fold, and many great ones have folded before. What ever the reason, be it poor mangenment ect. its not a good situation. Maybe they should think about joining the mid murray, they need more clubs, and callington could find themselves at worst competative. (not singling out this post either bat pad)

Mate i agree it is not a good thing, however that doesn't change the reality of the situation. Perhaps a move to Mid Murray is a good option. What, in my opinion, is not an option is to stay in Hills Country A grade past this year, and all the good intentions or bleeding hearts (using the expression without any meaning to offend anyone and for lack of a better one) will not change that. After the attention this result will gather, who in their right mind will change clubs to go there next year. Perhaps hacks who would only get paid at a club like Callington, but they won't change their on field performances. Yes, it is always sad to see a club fold, but just because something is sad doesn't mean it isn't the right course of action.

wow cougar you've really proved a great point there... 'probably' would wanna join his best man. i think you're 'probably' wrong. first of all he's assistant coach at the west coast eagles this year, and 'probably' has bigger things in store for himself than playing at kers 'we have really feral woman take their tops off at our bar' brook... and also his old man is still at nearly every birdwood home game and a huge supporter of the club. trust me scott burns has lots of good friends in and around the birdwood club. so i think you're 'probably' wrong. and id put serious money on the fact that if he ever did move back to SA, which is very unlikely, he'd be playing/coaching at birdwood, who are now in a competition with more than 7 competitive teams and where 80 goal jokes of games dont seem to be occuring.... 'probably'.

Not so sure about that Rooster. Scotty's got some good friends over the Hill at Kersbrook and I reckon he'd look pretty good in a Double Blue Guernsey playing with his best mate. Perhaps we could squeeze in 6 games for him this year around West Coast's program as he'll need to have played that many to qualify to play finals. Not sure if he'd need to play that many over the Hill?
So Rooster you don't get to see the Classy women at the Kersbrook Pub on Saturday Arvo's. Perhaps the KFC could organise a show on a Sunday afternoon for you blokes, so you can pop over after Church?

Rooster you've just confirmed that you would rather go to a Sunday morning church service than see women degrade themselves by taking their clothes off. Some of those church services can be nasty too you know with all that loud singing, readings and stuff. I know what I'd rather see, and think you've 'Probably' confirmed what I thought about some of you Birdwood blokes........You're a bit different.

[b]Im sick of saying it..why dont the clubs take some action and get the HFl to act..or else..more clubs will go to the wall..

Who is having a kick out there now? I saw the talented young Jai McMurtrie moved on to Langhorne Creek. Had to happen, but it would have broken the backs of the Cally faithful to see such a talented local lad leave.

Was there the same time but only played in the B's, was great fun up there on the piss after the game. Jai is a very handy footballer.
