Its about time someone from portland stopped using excuses about theor poor start to year. From what i've heard alot has been left up to the younger players in the team whilst the experinced guys have gone missing.

i dont think thats the case mate, our captain robbie wilson has been fantastic all year for us and franga and coppo are getting better every week and definatly doing there fair share of work

I'm just going off what i got told by a couple of boys who play down there. maybe its just them being arrogant but they told me they are the only one's who can actually play out there

Wilson and Franga aren't exactly 'old-heads'. Coppo, on the other hand...

looking at the team sheet from the weekend there is 4 ppl older than robbie so i would say he is lol

He definately has a rough head though. Pretty sure Robbie Wilson is around 22, give or take a year.

I think Coppo is 42... ;)

so steve do you think portland will win a game this year????
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

They'll win a game or 2 but will struggle to stay up in Div 3. They prob needed to keep all their players from last year combined with their "big name" recruits to have been able to stay in Div 3.

BBQ sounds good mate. Or we could just head down to the Mawson Lakes pub for a feed and some beverages, stumbling distance home for you. ;)

Can't play to save my life mate, you know what it's like people blowing guys up on here. The Para Hills boys will gladly tell you I'm shit ;)

Usually play across half-back, but not sure if, or where I'm playing this week.

No problem here mate, just giving my opinion back. I just reckon you need to wait until around round 10-11 to get a true indication.

Piccachu, Pag usually gets the shutdown role on the opposition's best player - he will be wearing you like a glove mate !!! ;)

He is a red-head, but not in the same class as Gods - he gets sunburnt under fluoro lights !!!

Should be a good game. I think it said it to Felch last time we played you guys in A4, I pulled up worse against Portland than I did against other side just because of the attack on the ball/body. Think Birdy cleaned me up properly. Pretty important too, wouldn't hurt to get two games ahead of you guys early.

only if we could use the ball aswell as we attack it, its a must win game for us. and salisbury have good club rooms so there is no excuse for our blokes not to come in for a beer or for blokes like myself a coke after the game
