Seems both McGregor and Vince will play for the Eagles if the Crows are not forced to make late changes due to injury.

What about next week when the Eagles reserves play their elimination final. Could easily have McGregor, Vince, Skipworth and Knights playing reserves finals football, especially if the Crows win and earn the bye - they all need game time. What a ridiculous situation!

Potter and Westbrook left training early last night, they both looked to be in some sort of discomfort - if under any doubt it would pay to rest them this week.

Sturt showed a bit of character early and to their credit were in the game for 3 quarters. If it wasn't for a lack of discipline they may have proved a bit more of a handful. Having said that, Eagles hardly got out of 2nd gear and cruised to an easy victory by 11 goals. Passador claimed the Ken Farmer after Chambers kicked a few early goals to get within striking distance. I thought Jarrad was the Eagles best. Now the real season begins. Hopefully North and Central bash each other to pieces next week!

I was satisfied with that win - wasn't a belting, just a comfortable win. Sturt tried hard again, but when you try to place 3 to 4 men loose in the backlines each time, it wears a side out. I'll agree that Jarrad was best player, Shattock, Powell, Cicolella were next. Well done Passador on the Ken Farmer Medal. 8)

Good to see the 17's win their elimination final and the 19's win easily as well. An interesting name in the U'19s goal kickers - Vinnie Struck. Is there room for two Vinnie's in the league team of the future?
