I just heard something interesting but don't know if there's any truth to it.

If there is, I see Glenunga heading up a division next year, maybe even 2!

Correct. We will move up a division after reaching the Gf this year. Correct me if i'm wrong, but the grand finallists move up a divson the next year, yes?

It doesn't count if it's on the playstation.

Personally I don't see why Pulteney would do it, with due respect to Glenunga, it's not like they would gain better facilites out of it.

and they're travelling nicely - not sure if they get any funding from the school or OS association but they'd risk losing that if they merged with Glenunga?

But as I said, it's been done before, Im not holding my breath that anything will come out of it this time which is why I wanted to find out more before giving out the details.

Hang on a bit, does this mean the glenunga lads might get to rub shoulders with the infamous Ian Perrie & the Bassett hound? They're at Pulteney aren't they? Would be a dream come true.

Lets just say that if the place I got this news from doesn't know, then it's not worth knowing and leave it at that.

I agree with you Jimmy, I don't see the why's and how's.

But Im not going to start spreading an unsubstantiated rumour for the hell of it - which is why I was so cryptic in the first place.

Going on this years form, if there was a merger would any of the Glenuga players be good enough to crack the A's or would they end up playing as a C grade team or something? Without knowing any details this seems to not make much sense...

COLONEL LIGHT GARDENS and BRAHMA to DRAW........Because they are both awesome teams, if you ask them.
LOCKLEYS to beat Central United......Lockleys hurting after last week and think they can play alot better than what they did. By plenty.
PARALOWIE to beat Trinity...........Trinty girl didnt listen.
WEST CROYDON to beat Hectorville.........If Bryant got games it might have swayed me.

I think a few of Glenunga's players would benefit from having better players around them. But there's probably only 3-4 who would have the desire and claims to play in the A's. We have guys playing key position spots because they are the only guys close to 6 foot, with any sort of class. In any other team they would be on the flank, or in the pocket. It makes it hard to be competitive, when your best players are playing out of position.
