I wouldn't agree with that HOF, the pictures were there only to show that Commodores do break on impact as well (as will any car given the right speed/impact etc.)

well knowing that the older versions of commodores were quite easy to break into and so many of them are used in high speed get aways, i know because i lost my keys a few times when i had a VH commodore and used a palate strap to open the door . Then yes the older commodores were and are used more in high speed get aways or chases so hence the more accidents when the car is torn in two etc

Not always, often it's the innocent ones that die at the hands of others

Unfortunately this is true. The one common factor in all high speed car crashes is d*ckheads. Forget the car make it is the person behind the wheel that does the damage and unfortunately it is not always the scum that causes the damage that suffers the most.

the only stat i'd suggest would be on the money- 95% of cars being crashed at dangerous speeds would be ripped right apart- regardless of make

JAS wrote:something to bear in mind if it's press/tv pictures of accidents you're looking at is that by the time they're allowed to photograph them the Fire Service have often had to cut people out so a lot of damage is done after the accident and makes it look far worse than it might have been.

That's right and the impression is always given that the picture you see on TV was entirely caused by the accident
