Dale Ellis Signs with South

Postby Wedgie » Fri Dec 09, 2005 7:02 am

Reported in the paper today that Ellis and Jeremy Humm from West Coast have joined David Clarke and Josh Thewlis to sign with the Panthers.
Its a real merry go round down there every year.

Ellis would want a big improvement on the couple of games I saw him play last year.

Last I heard David Clarke is training with Brisbane Lions...not sure this signing is OFFICIAL.
Is 2009 the year of the Tiger?

Jimmy why is it every time South sign a player you jump on the bandwagon.
We no we have been shit but you can't judge the new recruits based on the previous one's.
I don't know what all the fuss is with the previous recruits we finished 7th hence they must have been shit let them go.
The committed one's have stayed on but no one ever mentions there name.
E.g Kenna, Mcglone, Smith, Bennett none of these guys are orignally from South but they are committed.
Everyone will sat we are trying to buy a premiership but unless your Central Districts 7 clubs havn't really done much in the last 6 years. (1 year to Sturt).
Melrose Park that aint South I'm talking about the real South.

I didn't think the "every year" part was too difficult to understand. Plus North have only lost 1 regular league player in Jeffries for 2005 off their payrole and that was retired.
Not one regular league player not on an AFL list prior to retiring age has left North from 2005. Hardly a merry go round.
Slightly different, surely?
Probably fair to compare West to South though, hence the Booming from R&B?
