gums were the better team for most of the game but i think kangys inaccuracy (as with echunga last week) probably won gums the game.
know its been mentioned in previous weeks and its great to see gums being more competitive this year however its dissappointing to see some (alot) of their team still resorting to dirty tactics and cheap shots on and off the ball throughout the game...
it might bring them some short term success but if they keep it up the long term success of the club could be questionable... gone from having very competitive juniors last year no being flogged yesterday. i definatly wouldnt want my kids around some of the gums team
I think its a matter of being in the opposition. The guys arent too bad to be around. Rough around the edges yes but by no means a danger to anyone. The kids actually enjoy seeing their club back up the pointy end and whilst I didnt see the game yesterday, there hasnt been 'dirty' tactics employed in any of the others. I will agree that perhaps theres a fine line but IMO we hadnt crossed it up until yesterday.
As for our juniors struggling. I guess when you lose a big chunk of your under 17 team youre gonna struggle. We'd been competitive until yesterday.
Good rebounding win by the Dees too, maybe the kick up the proverbial the Brookers needed and id be shocked to see them drop another game for the year now.
