i went down to MANGLE PARK and it was a pleasure to see such fine racing animals.

BETTY'S ANGEL 29.64 this dog 3 starts ago, MAL declared as the BEST DOG in AUSTRALIA and at its last 3 starts failed to win, i think MAL put the KOD on it.

its amazing how most of these interstate dogs race once a week, where the locals that raced up against them race 3 times a week. an example S. Collins had a VAITY BALE in one race and it was backing up from monday night. I would have thought winning or running 2nd in its race this morning would have been better for it.

some have said the track is slow, but the Kennel Foreman always said there was nothing wrong with the track, just the dogs that race on it, that very same day a Mick Stewart dog ran 29.90 when no other dog could break 31:00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they usually "turn it up" (the track) for the feature events. I remember in Adelaide Cup heats back in the 90's, ordinary Grade 5 dogs would run sub 30 times, wehn previously, they'd be 30:20-30:30 dogs
