im with you on this one axe heccies supporters are just a waste of space, i had the pleasure of listening to a heap of there supporters a few rounds ago. if you touch or be to rough to one of the players they get all upset and start carrying on like a bunch of sissy girls.what did you think of heccies as a team though cause there no little angels either they like to give it but when they get it back its a differnt story.

manbitesdog, you said you were at CLG on sat, did you happen to listern to Payneys speach at 1/4 time. Wonder what he said to get them up from 8 goals down?

agree on the idiot from heccies. i have been at heccies for 8 years and i have never seen him before and i hope i never see him again after that. i would think heccies would ban him from the club.

but what else do you want us to do with our crowd behaviour? we stopped him from going on to the field.

talking about examples, how about #9 and #14 who got sent off in b grade. #14 gets accidently clipped in a marking contest and then hits the heccies player from behind straight after. then #9 comes in throwing punches. both players who got hit were the smallest players from heccies. heard #9 use to be a pro boxer. obviously forgot he was playing footy...

going onto As, well done to WC. played hard footy and had a good talk to a few of their players including stubberfield during that incident. and i hope that player that dived in the last quarter from WC gets the nickname rivaldo. i think the ump was the only one on the field who bought it

Feral supporters
While your eating another pie, maybe you should have a think about that somewhat hypocritical statement.

Ironically, I've never had any issues with West Croydon's fans. They're a good, honest club.

However, some of their B graders love throwing haymakers when you've got your back turned, which is just weak. Obviously the guys in the ones who can actually play the game worry about the footy a bit more.

Didn't CLG have the flag wrapped up last year in MAY? Interesting to see how they respond to the BL loss. They must have been dominated for 3 quarters.

Good to see the Glenunga boys still having a dip, but MP would have been a game pencilled in to be more than competitive in, anyone from MP shed some light?

Here is my review of the Mitchell Park Vs Glenunga game

A copy can also be found on the Mitchell Park FC website;

http://www.mitchellparkfc.com/2009-game ... s-glenunga

------------------------

Round 6 saw The Lions face up against a regular foe in Glenunga at The Den in what could have been a dangerous game. Glenunga are struggling at the moment but had reputedly cajoled some big name recruits join the ranks in recent weeks. With some interesting comments in the media about the home side being “only” Mitchell Park the scene was set for a couple of ripping contests.

The B Grade have been fantastic for weeks on end now. Starting last year with some strong performances they have continued on playing with confidence and flair not seen in my time at Mitchell Park. A 30 goal victory is an impressive feat for a side with many players still to come back. The biggest highlight from the weekend was the form of our youngsters. Brad Moroney was again best afield in the B Grade with a stunning 2nd quarter netting him 5 goals (7 by the end of the game). Young Possum was kicking them from his jacksy but as Craig said on Saturday night they all came from his hard work and determination. Reno Viscone was unlucky not to be playing A Grade football after doing his job admirably in the previous weeks. To his absolute credit he hasn’t sulked or gone sour but instead put his head down and worked harder, culminating in a great midfield performance and 3 goals. Darryl Larsen was superb off the back flank providing run and rebound and the occasional spectacular mark. Smoker kicked 5, Ryno 4 and the Heng brothers 2 a piece with Mitchell Park having a resounding victory 33.18 – 2.3. The only disappointing effort from the B Grade was the turn out on Saturday night. Only 6 players back at the club after a 30 goal win – not good enough.

The A Grade were determined to make up for a couple of disappointing weeks. With the win that got away fresh in our minds this was a game we were determined not to let slip. Glenunga are a proud club and were always going to provide pressure and intensity. True to form the Rams didn’t give up and hounded us all day never letting us get out of 3rd gear. There was some good football played and considering the first rate players still to come in - Rogers, Gelven, Bates, Rivett, Schutte, Dowsett, Logan, Ryan and Harrison to name but a few - it was a good performance to win by 20+ goals. Luke McDonnell was easily best on ground with a staggering 14 goals to his name. He marked everything in sight and kicked well. Glenunga flooded quite heavily in the second half and considering the numbers in our forward line it was a great effort to take so many contested marks. His brother Nat McDonnell was also great leading from the front with 5 goals - his voice providing essential leadership. Michael Maher was fantastic in the guts, I lost count how many times he either killed or won a contested clearance - he will be a wonderful addition to Mitchell Park. There were many other contributors – Casey Varnas was very good again with 4 goals, the old firm of Joe Leck and Adam Hay showed they still have it and Peter "Bomber" Eblen was more than serviceable in the ruck. Ben Weekley, Troy Potuszynski and Aaron Cox were the other goal kickers – Mitchell Park running out winners 26.17 – 4.3.

Apologies for the long review, with nearly 60 goals kicked on the weekend we had lots of players worthy of a mention and I am sure I’ve missed plenty.

With the talk on here about "feral" supporters I think we could all agree that every club from Trinity in the north to Mitchell Park in the south - and everyone in between - will have a small element of supporters or club members that behave irresponsibly on match days.

Rather than sniping and complaining about each other on websites, why not work together to put in place polices and procedures to educate these people that violent and abusive behavior cannot be tolerated...

Damien has a chronic injury at the moment which he is working very hard to rectify. He is a fantastic player, one of the best kicks I have ever seen. Extremely down to earth and humble guy as well. He is also part of our leadership group meaning his absence over the last couple of weeks has been difficult to replace.

He trained lightly on Thursday, we are all looking forward to seeing Damien back on the field playing footy.

Saw the game between BL and CLG and i would say that BL have the forward options to stretch most backlines, they dont rely on Walton and Payne but have lots of options with a good blend of talls and smalls that rotate through there and all know where the goals are.

for me CLG backline destroyed us in the first quarter.. very good rebound footy.. then we threw a few guys around and it worked.. CLG to me just stopped and didnt continue there great first quarter..

next time round im sure they wont stop and it should be a cracker..
there are a good football side..

as for relying on payne and walton for our goals i think we proved that wrong on the wkend with 6 or 7 multiple goal kickers
