Where did u hear Rob is leaving? He is a great player and will be a huge loss for wonks. He broke his leg comming into finals this year but a fantastic bloke and player. Does have a tendancy to go roaming around from time to time!!! He was working up in the mines towards the end of the season and has spent time up north so wouldnt be totally supprised to see him go.

I was in Melbourne, talking to some blokes who were about to do a phone IV with him.

Yea the only problem with that would be the price he would want for the book!!!!

Can any1 from Renmark or that league confirm or deny reports Deer, Howard and Jenkins going back to play for Parndana this year??? Word is they have lost Westbrook back the the SANFL and Luke Wood to Ardrossan and are looking the recruit to prevent them looking like they recruited them self a flag last year, similarly to what Dudley did prior to that!!!

Howard is playing for Nairne. Not sure about Deer or Jenkins.

Should be an interesting year over on KI this year. Back to 18 on the field and with a couple of the stronger teams we hear have lost a few players (we can only hope Westbrook stays at the Eagles) and there are a few players being kept under wraps way out west!!!

Kingscote have supposedly lost a number of players with curtis and taylor being a couple of big outs. They will probably run and quick young team which mite be a nice change and respond will the philpys coaching

Wonks have a couple of big outs in clements and snowball we hear but there is some talk of them signing some players from yorks which will be handy inclusions. I dare say will rely heavily on their oldtimer to do the bulk of the work.

We havnt heard to much out of wisanger. They generally pick up some new blokes which they will need and will also rely on hold onto their young fellas to provide some legs for old 1/4

Pardarna the premiers from last year will be looking to go back to back. They have lost a couple of keys players in Woods (ardrossan) and Westbrook (back to SANFL) however there is talk of him lobbing back over here if he doesnt make the league team early. There is also talk of young gilly and yakka going travelling but that is yet to be proven. Unsure of any inclusions at this stage but they have strong connections to town so will probably find a couple of handy recruits.

The eagles are working hard to get back to the top. I know they are working hare to require the services of a couple of players over have missed the last couple of season. Old freddy pump will hopfully stick around for the season and Stewy and Gatsey have both signed back up with the latter earning himself a later start to the season through smashing himself up, they have also in the process of signing a couple of lads out working in the vines with the coach. These guys will be hard to tell apart on the field. They have had their losses to with G. Rosser to adelaide uni and T Johnson training with Victor at the moment (still a chance of returning home).

All goes well for the season ahead

I happened to call in to the Yankalilla Bakery Saturday morning only to find that they to had been 'Clarked'. They said he didn't even stop! - just wound down the window, flared his left nostril and inhaled the entire nights production on his way to catch the 10.30 ferry.

Looks like Wisanger is a little more competitive this year.
How's Paul Bott doing for them if anyone knows?
Good to see the legend David 'Cod' Neeve still suiting up for the Wisanger B grade as well.
Looking forward to seeing the KI v Hills game at Kingscote oval this year and I know KI will be putting a side out that will be very competitive.

Wisanger have got 05 premiership player Brad Jamieson back this year adding a bit of much needed strength and experience. Cod Neeve was one of my favourite players in the 80's :-k

I hope KI put a good side together for the Hills Country match. Last years effort was very disappointing. Hills Country is a reasonable league and provides the KI boys a great opportunity to test themselves at a higher level.

Certainly no one from here got too carried away with the result, we were aware KI could have had a much stronger side with guys like Westbrook and co.
Are the Lee brothers still there this year? They look like they have a fair crack.

Dont know where ur getting your info from but wouldnt think westbrook would be giving up league footy with the eagles anytime soon to suit up for ki!!! I think there mite be 1 or 2 of the lees may be kicken round over there still, but wouldnt think they were up for association footy!!!

GA good to see the long awaited return of jamo to ki footy, but it wont be enough for them to be any serious threat to darna. That would require lade and thomas signature's to create enough hype in the league to scare off opposition players and return the blue baggers to the top!!! Hope they get some wins under their belts tho, and scrape into the finals.

KI should field a stronger side than last year, but would thinks the hill will be better organised as well with a few boys up for a mid season "footy trip"!!! At least i hope they bother to show up this time!!!

Ant Lee is playing A grade for the Goolwa Magpies in the GSFL. Gave the big Willunga CHF a scare when he shaped up to him during the half time fracas.

Rumours of Lade signature X 2 for season 2011 gathering steam....

Eagle Rock I'm well aware who is and isn't available this year and if you read my post a bit closer you will see I was referring to last year's match and I should have have clarified that the question about the Lee's was directed at Grape Ape regarding them being at Wisanger.

Will agree though that it was an extremely disappointing thing that occurred in 2007 and think that the problem has been/was is that by naming the best players the Hills Country has to offer - most are on huge dollars - is that playing in this game has no appeal to them and that's not your fault, it would be the same whoever we were up against.
Know there was talk about last year's rep's being given first bite of the cherry for this year's game because those guys do actually want to be out there but the league has rightfully gone for the best players in the initial squad and hopefully there will be some stiff penalties for those that are named and can't be bothered.

Im sure if you wandered through the queenie the night before the game you would find the infamous TET..LEE would tell you that he is up to association football. Just beware of the spit that may come your way mid sentence

GA by then it Wisanger will be Lade x 5. They can only sign 2 players who live in Adelaide, however with the way their giant sons (x3) are growing they will be able to pick them up as colts and play them in the A's aswell!!!!

The KI team should look like:
R. Morris Ramsey Green
Z Edwards Walden Stewart
Dugmore C. Willson D. Anderson
R. Willson Tonkin J. Graham
Short D. Davis C. Turner

Foll. B. Howard, E. Whale, N. Trethewey

Int. (from) D. May, G. Buick, M. Anderson, D. Taylor, S. Matthews, D. Trethewey, J. Davis

It will be interesting to see how many of these guys actually suit or if selectors go with a younger team rather than the best experience!!!

That's a good looking team there Eagle although I think you've made a glaring omission. Surely they'll squeeze Clark into a forward pocket?
