Saw the PHOS v Seaton game today & PHOS were very, very good i must say.
I think they'll be even better on a bigger ground.

Any truth in what I was told last night, that Brodhurst has left Kilburn to go to Greenacres and a couple of other players have defected elsewhere too?
Maybe we will see the Chics slide back to Div 3 if this is happening so early in the season.
Also heard Ocker is still livid with the decision certain people made to take up the option to move to Div 2.

Ocker was very against the decision, he knew he couldn't do the recruiting needed in time to be successful in div 2.

I guess the worst that happens is that they end back from whence they came.

The decision their committee made against the recommendations of the coach has possibly done them more harm than good IMO.

This is going to sound strange coming from me, but plaudits to them for giving it a go. It was never going to be easy at that late stage. They had recruited for D3 - big difference.

Mind you, Scotch would have been done by 40 goals every week.

Correct, had that cleared up for me earlier and it was always on the cards, according to my source. TT, not sure about the reason but the story goes that he's just about finished anyway and Kilburn were aware of the possibility of him going home to Nhill to finish.

Just looking at the top 5 in D2, I'll stick my neck out and predict that it is pretty close to what, I reckon, it will be.

Only EP and Broadies may swap and Round 9 will give a good indication of how they compare

No Mercy how did Stokesy go on the weekend? What about Walshy, Coardy and Marshall? I read last week that Marshall has qualified for super rules now...

Stokesy is dangerous but I reckon he would be as hard to read for his own players as he is for the opposition.

Which comment do i need to make sure of wristy. is there an underlying issue i was not aware of. I agree with the Fact Rowett had a tough week. losing his job and trying to support his young family is going to be tough.

To clear things up Rowett lost a job but it was just a part time job for extra cash at a surf store. Footy was getting in the way. According to a close source he reckons he has had a form slump that is all, but will soon be back to his better form soon if not now. Dont think he has been playing bad just not as good.

Wristy when was the last A grade game you attended?

Could be Border Districts in the KNTFL. Not a bad drive if you want to cock up your whole weekend as they're based at Frances just over the Vic border out from Mount Gambier.

Stokesy may have kicked 5 which was a surprise at the end of the day, he looked lost early playing around the 50 mtr arc then when moved to f-forward he was starting his leads too far up the ground & always found himself outside 50 & not in range. He's kicked 8-6-1-1-2-5 from his 6 games so far, if this bloke trains a bit harder & showed a better work rate in a game he'll kick anywhere from 5 to 8 goals a game.
Players that stood out for Seaton was definately Degabrielle in the guts also James done well down back & a bloke Gator no16 was handy, Natt was ok but can be a little too loose at times. Heffernan i thought was very good, as you can see with those names Seatons backline saw alot of the ball with PHOS going forward time & time again, the rest of them well nothing to get excited about.
Anyone that drinks that ouzo & rasberry definately qualify for super rules. ;)
