Is it true the players want you to take over the helm coz some la-la's arn't happy with the steamboats tough stance & rules?

Ricky has his own style Mercy. Tits nicked off, Stoffy has gone and chasing money round the Port (here he is trying your old club again Mercy for a quid and the boys down on Victoria Rd). Tosold has the la-la's true but thats life. You know as a coach what its like. You werent the most popoular guy going round as coach either from what we here so would not go callin Kettle black. Ricky is doing OK with what we have got and has our total support for the year.[/quote]

It's normal practice for clubs to make statements like this when under seige, however, it's also a statement that has been splashed around when the coach becomes "a dead man walking".
Beware of comments including "total support", it's not always as it seems.

Ricky is not a "dead man walking" - He does have total support from everyone at District so stop trying to create something from nothing. We have had and will continue to have stability in Coaching and Coaching staff. Gary and Roger before that were long term coaches and so will Rick. Would look at your clubs Ace and Mercy. You have both changed Coaches more times than I have had changes of jocks and still no silver cup in September to go with it. Seaton the yo-yo team with a flag back when JC was playing full back for the Jews and Gepps Cross with nothing in the bank at all. - Those in glass houses shouldtn throw stones. You are talking about a great club down here with stability, about 22 A1 flags and a great history - you both have nothing.

Before you go off cock-a-hoop, get your facts right!!!

Hey District Twit!! the two clubs that have been mention have never had to amalgamate to survive. the way your travelling, another amalgamation is on the cards. who will it be with?? North Haven, Portland,Smosh Westlakes, Seaton.
Then again, none of these clubs would entertain the thought. Your'e only as good as your current performances, that means, your'e NO GOOD! It's all mind over matter we dont mind and you dont matter!!! :)

Not trying to make anything out of nothing, my experience tells me from a lot to do with statements as you made in your original post that 70% of clubs who make such statements have an agenda that's unknown until someone lowers the boom. Go back and check what you said, total support from whom, certainly not all the players based on your statement!
If you are who I think, you hold a position within the club then you should know what's going on, but don't get over anxious about someone making an observation based on past experiences.

Apologies, but because I'm lazy and can't be bothered checking the SAAFL site or possibly the previous pages of this thread, for my own interest can someone enlighten me as to when Port District last won an A1 Premiership? Not sledging, just want to know. :?

Yeah I reckon you're correct, there's something just not quite right, is there?
Keep working on it, all will be revealed in the fullness of time.

Has the 'steam' left the boat yet or is it just the rudder that's fallen off??

Obviously not wet enough for the black n white at Rostrevor yesty, i was shocked to be honest how easy they were beaten by Rocs.
Where to now for this club thats won all these 22 so-called premierships  , looks like its Div2 in 2010, they'll be asking Mark Tylor at Port Magpies for some throwbacks shortly to try & get off the bottom.

Yes No Mercy - go for it - we deserve everything we get on this forum...

We were rotten yesterday. To get beaten so convincingly by ROCS was not good. The road ahead is not good. TTG, then the 4 time defending premiers, followed by the Rams away.

ROCS showed us how to play footy, getting to the footy first, kicking truly etc .

A bit rich coming from a Crows supporter after their insipid effort in Brisbane last night!!

As for your Roosters - well was it the mid 80's when you last anything significant??

Now you are really grasping at straws with that, my question is about Port Districts on the correct forum in the SAAFL so don't get too carried away, if you can't answer it, stand aside!
