Hey Nuggety any truth to the rumour I heard tonight that you guys are looking at forfeiting the B grade this week??? As I said it is only a rumour but thought cant hurt to ask. Sounds good though coming from the coach of a team that could only field the bare minimum last week

Im more confident after training then I was earlier. Think it will be a good contest. Personally I felt like I ran out the training session harder and more comfortably then I have in years so hopefully it will be the same on the weekend

man, these rumours get around quicker than aunty Cath!!!!
could be the case... i'm not sure. i know we have at least 12 out through injuries and unavailabilities... if we did forfeit it would be because of lack of available players...

So Nuggety its simply due to a lack of numbers?? The bloke that informed me of the rumour indicated that there is a growing amount of players requesting to just play B grade?? Any truth??

Forfeit has been confirmed.

It's disappointing for a couple of reasons. The Reserves could have used a boost to their percentage and won't get it now. And the other reason I won't go into too much, but it would have been good for a couple of players who were named in our Reserves to have a good run this week, and they won't get it now.

i think i know your source Bigshow... maybe... did he quit last week and then come down to our game?!?

this is something that is being addressed, the blokes that only want to play B's are in two categories. lazy and young blokes. the lazy ones (not too many) want to dominate in the magoos so they get their name in the paper, easier kicks and don't have to work as hard. the other ones are the young blokes that want to play together. it is being instilled in these blokes that we need our best 21 out there in the A's and there are a couple that would be in or on the cusp of that best 21, if they went up and their bestie didn't they wouldn't have anyone to kick too i guess! it's being sorted and there will be a bit of change bought in over the coming weeks...

and yes lack of numbers is the reason. i myself have to work but we have the 2x VC's plus another good dozen injured or NA, not a good week for us, hopefully we get blokes right next week, the bye couldn't come sooner!

A great right up for the Pines in Fridays edition of SA Footy News. Spoke with our coach and when the guy rang to do the interview he did not even know who he was speaking to or what the phone call was about. Sure to create a few laughs for the boys Saturday night when I post it up at the club for our 70s night. Good work Mal

why doesnt this surprise me. i was actually surprised it took to round 7 before they forfeited for the first time. you couldnt even get 14 or 15 players. nth pines did last week, so well done to them but big rasberry to ovies.we will looking with interest in the next few weeks the team lists.
THE NEW ERA BEGINS.....HIRD AND THOMPSON.....EX CAPTAINS EX CHAMPIONS EX.....cellent choice
