Good game at PAC today. There was only a couple in it at half time. John Waltham was downright sensational. If a kid with swine flu had walked within 25 miles of the oval, he would have caught it. Pooraka have some very fast tough runners who linked up through the centre

Pretty rough and tough match out at Fitzroy.....a few fights and a lotta verbal between spectators. Much of this was caused by ordinary umpiring. The Greenacres spectators were really dishing it out to the little umpire who couldnt run.....and to the Fitzroy players.....was very entertaining.

Fitzroy pretty dominant in the first half.....Down by 5 at the half, Greenies piled on 6 of there 8 goals in the 3rd quarter to make the match close but the Lions steadied and ran out comfortable winners.

Savagly sub standard umpiring. We had one umpire who was a joke! I honestly think he has something against the dolphins. We won by 30+ goals and its rare for someone after a win to carry on about the umps but this was a joke.

Which umpire are you talking about? They were just as bad for both teams. A couple of your guys can count themselves lucky for not being reported for undisicplined acts. One was right in front of the umpire. I wouldn't be complaining about umpires.

What? Your delusional . I didnt see the undisicplined acts so cant comment on that. I spoke to a couple of haven lads and they seemed to agree with me. The ump with the hat was insipid! Would be interesting to know the free count.

Amber we have had the Dick Johnson lookalike the last two times we have played North Haven at home. He is consistently bad and I can see where Flip is coming from. In round 18 last year he took it upon himself to let NH back in the game with blatant one sided umpiring. Read into it what you will. I cant remember him umpiring us other than that, so I cant comment on his hate dislike for the dolphins.

You may be clutching at straws saying our blokes were undisciplined. Your Tina Turner lookalike ruckman was practically fly kicking our ruckmen at the centre bounces. Last time I checked that was reportable.

Umpires cop enough bashing on here so lets's agree to disagree regarding the umpires.
BUT in regards to the undiscplined acts. Firstly our ruckmen does have a huge leap on him and does use his legs/knees to his advantage. He never fly kicked anyone as you put it. Secondly, one of you blokes punched one of our U/18's Kids in the face in the last quarter right in front of the umpire. It may have only been a jumper punch but your bloke was a big bloke picking on a kid. If that's not an undiscipined act then what is?

it was an A grade game of football right? If he's only an "U/18's player", why's he playing A grade then?
Not condoning what allegedly happened, but not sure you can play that card....

whether he was U/18 or not it was still an undisciplined act by the CBC player. I was merely saying that one or two of their players were undisciplined.

Quote the bound ump that did report him "there was nothing in it". I did hear it was retaliation as well.

But i agree AF enough ump bashing. Empathic victory for the brothers i shouldnt be putting bad light on a game which had so many positives.

Allen 10 goals straight, Blash 6 and close to 40 poss, Ryan Bubba powerful display, Shilla rock solid in defence.

Also Shoey played in his 100th for the club great bloke and footy player. A huge personality at the club. Well done.

It would be good if the "official" SAAFL publication could get its facts right.

Every week there are blatant errors in the information.

Take Friday's Footy News:

Do what I say, not what I didn’t do

Of course, as coaches would know, it’s not easy putting experience into new heads, and he has quite a few of them at Unley. But Young will continue to persist because, amidst the disappointment, including losing the past two rounds to Prince Alfred Old Collegians by 72
when Mark Ricciuto kicked 12 goals, and last week to the unbeaten Fitzroy by 89, there have been some positive signs that the Jets are not as bad as some might believe.

Ricciuto didn't play and he hasn't kicked 12 goals in any games. It is not difficult to check your facts when you are (i) the official publication of the SAAFL and therefore have all of their resources to use, and (ii) getting paid to do a job

A cursory glance at your own website would show you the facts. Maybe getting rid of your volunteers was not the smartest move................

Rowd072..Yes it was a hard game at Fitzroy yesterday and they are going to be hard to beat this year, but they can be beaten one good quarter from us and scores were level at 3/4 time, unfortunately the last quarter was one way traffic but we were up against it from the 10 min mark of the first quarter whaen we lost our rukman with a broken arm and our CHB with a hamstring... but they are a good unit and play that horrible oval very well
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

There wasn't alot in it............but when you are 30 goals up, why jumper punch someone in front of an umpire for no reason?? And it wasn't in retaliation as you have heard.
Anyway it was a great display of footy by CBC and I think even though Fitzroy are still undefeated, that CBC are definitely the team to beat in Div 4.
