Some very surprising results, Walkies over PH and SPOC over SMOSH - didn't pick either of those 2 !!!

The heart break continued for us down at Ledger Rd. We should have put them away in the second quarter, but Woody South persisted and hung on. They outworked us in the second half, and we just couldn't find a winner up forward after losing Lippo in the 3rd to injury, who absolutely destroyed them in the second quarter (kicked 4). They had more run than us when it counted, and finished too strong. Once again, some 25 metre penalties probably cost us dearly. Not sure how long it is going to take for us to realise that mouthing off at the ump achieves nothing

I was at the game til half time and it looked like Portland where going to destroy woody south. Lippo was on fire. I think someone made the statement the only way they will lose is if Lippo does his knee....funny that.

really funny steve you twit, we definatly should of put the game out of reach in the third quarter, woodville south just worked harder in the second half, number 10 killed us ( cattermole i think)

Perhaps if some of the boys stopped going out and getting hammered on a Friday night than they could run out a full game.

Tom Lipson is a very responsible individual. He even stayed off the grog Saturday night to help his knee injury recover.

On the Mitcham vs Salisbury game, McEvoy obviously loves playing against Salisbury. He always seems to kick a bag against them. I see his name every week in the goalkickers for Mitcham, usually with a nice bag beside his name. He never seems to do anything against us though, and im not being a smart @rse either. I have never seen him play well against us, and usually ends up being pushed up the ground, even into a back pocket on one occasion.

Pag, whats your take on Mitcham ? Flanigan play well ?

Good to see Mitcham go out and give Salisbury an absolute flogging! They were a very young side who were lacking many key position players. They had blokes that were about 6 foot 1 in the ruck and no targets up foward. Surely the B grade ruckman (think they call him "the doctor") will be playing A grade shortly? They seemed like an absolute rabble, some of their players not even knowing who they were playing against before the game. You would think Divvie 4 is a certainty for them, expecially now that Scotch and Portland look to be find a lil bit of form!

Flanigan killed us. McEvoy kicked 6 but didn't really dominate the game. For the second time in three weeks we had no bench left before three-quarter time, and I got a call-up to play about three-quarter time of the B Grade so wasn't in the best of nick. Had a couple of easy shots in the second quarter that would've put us right back in it, but missed. Had a very young side out, which is no excuse as its 21 v 21, but our centre-square in the last quarter featured three 19- year-olds, chaning with 2 other 19 year-olds. As far as this 'players not knowing who they were playing against before the game', I'm pretty sure we've known we were playing Mitcham on Saturday since the draw came out? :?

Credit to Mitcham, they played well and we are struggling at the minute, but I'd still have Walkerville as the best side we've played by a fair way, although we do have SPOC and SMOSH to come.

HH, Doc is over 30 and not as young as he used to be, has a couple of old mates in the 2s who he enjoys playing with. The question should be, why are you not playing in the As when you're clearly capable?

I would think it would be hard for HH to get into the A grade as they are playing very well, and kicking 2 goals in 2 weeks fron CHF in the magoos is not exactly 'setting the world on fire'.

Fair enough call HH ?

Downhill-skier HH ? ;)

Agreed, Shaw in the forward line is a good luxury to have.

Until we find out some facts at least anyway :?

FC, the facts are he's moving on, again!

Encounter Bay M Cox 1 goal

Looks as though the facts were correct. I wonder how long this stint will last, I'm taking bets it won't be all season!

Just another club shirt to add to the pile! Encounter Bay Eagles, royal and gold, I wonder if he's already got one of those?

What number is Flanigan and where does he play? I'm quite keen to see someone supposedly faster then Cibich.

Might take him on, see if he can catch me for a warm up :p

SMOSH very keen to bounce back.

We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
