Every week there are blatant errors in the information.

Take Friday's Footy News:

Do what I say, not what I didn’t do

Of course, as coaches would know, it’s not easy putting experience into new heads, and he has quite a few of them at Unley. But Young will continue to persist because, amidst the disappointment, including losing the past two rounds to Prince Alfred Old Collegians by 72
when Mark Ricciuto kicked 12 goals, and last week to the unbeaten Fitzroy by 89, there have been some positive signs that the Jets are not as bad as some might believe.

Ricciuto didn't play and he hasn't kicked 12 goals in any games. It is not difficult to check your facts when you are (i) the official publication of the SAAFL and therefore have all of their resources to use, and (ii) getting paid to do a job

A cursory glance at your own website would show you the facts. Maybe getting rid of your volunteers was not the smartest move................

Jimmy, "you took the words right out of my mouth, it must have been 'cause you didn't know what to write" I think that's how the song goes or something along those lines.

Ace, don't quote songs that can lead you into trouble. i don't think you and Jimmy want to go where that line ends [ well i hope you don't],[[ but if you do that's ok]]

Past players day this week at Park 9 seeing the Reds vs the Roys.

should be a cracker of a day! the roys undefeated and the reds with something to prove against a decent team. also will the be the reunion of the 99' (i think) b-grade premiership team which includes some of the clubs most colourful characters! massive day all in all.
also cant wait to see the Roo and jonny waltham in the same forward 50 again. if the reds can get decent supply to them i can see an upset on the cards! although gonna be a tough day no matter what.

lastly someone from the roys, has chad bourke been playing in the guts or up forward?? i know he normally plays on ball but surely he hasnt kicked 27 goals from out the middle?? he may well be the difference :?:

Teaoby, im not sure where he is playing this year but am fairly sure he kicked 10 goals in a match twice last year from the midfield. He certainly did against Pooraka. Amazing effort.

He is capable of kicking bags of goals from the midfield. Very clever player, doesnt do much on the defensive side of things, if you get my drift though ;) . If Fitzroy are winning the ball, and you leave him unmarked, then he will kick goals.

hes definatly a freak, between he and neate they would have to be the best small forward combo in div 4, if not some of the higher divs. they have kicked almost 60 between them already!

Teaboy, He is a permenant centreman who rests forward sometimes. Can kick the ball 60 metres and straight.

Round 8 Tips

Pooraka v GREENACRES by 24 pts Bulls need win to keep up with the Top 5 but Dragons to get the points away.
North Haven v UNLEY by 12 pts like to see the Maggie's get a win but the Jets will do their houdinie act to stay in Div 4 which will keep Jets, Magpies & Dogs in relagation zone.
SALISBURY WEST v Golden Grove by 18 pts Tigers looking good but are the Kooka's really up to it this year?
Adelaide Lutheran v CBCOC by 30 pts Doggies will test but Dolphins are the real deal & will win the parklands war.
PAOC v FITZROY by 5 pts Match of the Round will be a shoot out at Park 9 & not too often the big name Red's will go in as underdogs at home but the Roy's have a well balanced side & the Lions to get the points over Roo/Waltham & co.

All very good games which can go either way so end results will be very interesting...
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

Bourkey reads these pages so try not to build him up too much. And just for the record hes a handy right arm slow medium bowler off about 100 paces.

Salis West very good against an undermanned Adel Luth Saturday.
Morris #7 dominated in the midfield.
Very disciplined SW side, hard and skillful. Pascoe at CHB had a field day...

Pooraka v Greenacres
Nth Haven v Unley
Salis West v GG
Adel Luth v CBC
PAC v Fitzroy

Go home teams!
