footy crazy wrote:after reading all the quotes on how feral and rough gummy are I made an effort to head down there for a look. Personally though some of the gummy boys looked rough and tough, I thought they played as fairly as any other side I've watched this year. They attack the the ball pretty hard but name a coach who wouldn't like that. As for free kicks gummy where continuosly led to the footy by nairne and hense gave away plenty of frees. I thought Mick Taylor (umpire) tried to take control early and did a pretty good job but the other bloke (name escapes me) was terrible. All in all either gummy where on their best behaviour even though they went down by 10 goals. Or other teams and spectators really exaggerate the on field behaviour of gummy's players. The most shocking thing I saw was the gummy supporters clapping their players off the field after a bad loss. To be successful losing has to hurt everybody not just players..

We're doing our best to hold onto him but who knows. I must say its a pretty disappointing effort by the player in question. If youre out there and the coach asks you to play somewhere, thats where you play. Alas, I do believe we have cover for him but its disappointing all the same.

Alot said about Gums, reckon we should move on. I get the feeling that all clubs know they have a couple of interesting taggers and it seems the umps might be on to them as well. Maybe they should get back to basics and get the ball. No courage in wacking young kids who want the ball.

is the terminator still alive? very disappointing today that he couldnt make it back to the angaston footy club to honour probably one of its greatest in matthew doecke who notched up his 300th A grade game a record in the BL&G. not sure if the terminator had proir commitments but it shows a clear lack of respect that he wasnt there if he didnt have. all matthews other coaches from the past 17 seasons travelled from all over the state to be there. poor form termy.

I don't know about the BL&G stuff. But I've been told by a very reliable source that Termy has been told by his club to stop posting shyte and the like on here. It seems management has deemed this unprofessional and a conflict of interest. I agree wholeheartedly if this is the case.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Only thing I'll say is that he was at our awards at 7.30pm and then he went and saw Chad Quinn in hospital - who'd broken his collarbone - so it would be a fair bet that even if he'd only been with Chad for an hour he still wouldn't have gotten home until after 11.00pm

A win is a win, Meadows are unlucky not to have won another couple of games. Had three bad games against Kersbrook, Echunga and Torrens Valley. Other than those three teams had a real chance.

You Kersbrook supporters could help me out here, Marc Cox ( yes him again ) i hear put in for a transfer to Kersbrook on the 28th of May 2009 from Encounter Bay.
Marc had no intensions of playing on Sat with E\B but was talked into it by team-mates.
Who down there can fill us in with more?
