im in my 3rd year at smosh and porplycia is one of the best guys at the club. i came to the club straight from school and he was the most approachable senior player in the team and hes still a good mate. one of the reasons im still at the club!

Jesus we tried hard to lose yesterday. Played probs 15-20 minutes of good footy in the second quarter. Credit to Mitcham, never gave up. Dunno qhta bloody Quinn was doing in the 2's - kicked four yesterday and provided a bloody good target.

R Fraser: 0.5, late on beers and no Cider. Shocking.

Couple of guys playing the first games back in the A's were good for us. Win's a win I guess.

Pretty predictable results elsewhere - Unlucky Portland!

Wonder if I'll get a tagging job on that Paget bloke this week. Hope not - I hear he's a machine!

on portland yet again it was a laps of 10 mins thats lost us the game. in all honesty this year has been without a doubt the most heart breaking year of footy i have ever played, and we cant blame any one but ourselves. people can continue to say we have been unlucky but you make your own luck, saying that i still think a win is very close and hopefully its next game, full credit to scotch, were very good in patches and if they string those patches together they will rain on a few of the top sides parade on the stretch home.

Sometimes you wonder if its better to get beaten by 10 goals rather than 1 point... :(

I think some of those close ones we won last year have caught up with us. We aren't doing much wrong in most games, but we were nearly 6 goals up early in the second quarter on Saturday. Should win from that position.

No team that kicks 8-22 deserves to win by 100 points - you were pissed mate!

Was a good physical game on Saturday, we had our chances, but SMOSH just managed to hang on to it, we were a few points up late in the last quarter but they just got across the line. Disapointing, but we were almost 4 goals down at half time, and showed a lot of guts to come back from that to almost snatch it.

It was the 2nd quarter where we let them do what they pleased that really cost us in the end, fortunately they kicked poorly.

Thought SMOSH had a pretty even spread across the ground, but no real stand outs, I guess similar to us.

Umpiring was consistently woeful (both ways), some decisions left both myself and my opponent wondering what the umpires were thinking. Guys getting tackled, droping it/throwing it out, and getting frees for holding the man. Other times advantage was paid when there was CLEARLY no advantage. Other times you had 3 blokes running free on the wing after a free was awarded, and the ball would be brought back!!

SPOC were awesome on Saturday. We tried all day but they were very good.

SPOC captain Ben Kilsby played an individual acoustic set at an engagement a few of us boys were at Saturday night, if anyone wants some live music at a function, look him up, was quality.

yes smoshies lucky to get over the line. mitcham are a good solid side. they will worry other sides as well. Looks like goal kicking practice for the next few sessions. hopefully get a couple back from injury after the break as well.
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Was bitterly dissapointed with the result on the weekend. Really thought we were going to make a go at styaing away from the bottom. We really needed that to say in the hunt of the 5 but most importantly the "R" word. Piccachu is right we were close but still no biscuits. The group seem to be gelling a bit more from the side lines. We will get there and I hope its sooner rather than later

Well there is a deadline for jumping ship isnt there?. This bloke is like a hooker at ponde. I guess he cant leave this club until the end of the season. Should we put some money on it that he jumps again at the end of this year? Doesnt matter now. Atleast he wont be talked about much more in here now that he's headed down south :D :D
