Looks some good value going around in the footy punting this weekend.

In tonight's AFL, while the home team are deserved favorites, something still slightly appealing about the Western Bulldogs at $3.85. We keep expecting them to fall over, but they keep producing one more week. We'll have $20 on the run continuing this week to win $77. Will also have $5 on Matthew Robbins to be leading goalkicker of the match at $11 (win $55), with a saver on Dean Cox at $26 to win $130. With a shortish Bulldog backline, Worsfold may exploit it by resting Cox forward and it could be the wildcard.

In the SANFL, South keep shortening - now into $1.60. Still appeals as a best bet - $40 here to win $64. Central at $2.55 is also surprising value for a team that has pretty good form against the Roosters this year. We'll take $20 on that to win $51.

To round out and make the even $100, we'll take the exotic option to really boost the bank for a long-term saver. Glenelg's Justin McConnell to win the Magarey - $5 e.w at $61 ($305 win, $76 place). It is a real long shot, but he will fall under the umps eye a lot this season, and could fill a place to give some genuine value.

Good luck folks!

Well, folks, a collect of $115 for an outlay of $100 so very happy with that.

I think someone asked about the $2.55 on Central - this was on offer when I placed my punt on Saturday; also, once the ins and outs were read out on radio, rang back again and they still had the $2.55 on offer at that point; ol' Perce put a bit more on and collected once again. Folks, sometimes a bookie who is not listening to a radio is the best friend!

Bayman did declare his bets prior (see first "quote" bubble)
Some people like to say how much they've had on, some don't- AFL Betting forum has an unwritten (?) policy of stating how many units you've put on. 2 Units on something could be $2 or $2000.
When my Bays bet got leaked, it wasn't me who posted that I'd won, or how much I'd had on, but others. I had mixed feelings about that, as part of me felt it's not up to others to state my business, but on the other hand, I'm not that much of a private person, & not the end of the world.
