How were the Sturt supporters disgraceful there Ump? what did they do wrong?

I'd have to agree with you there kookas, the Sturt supporters were very well behaved where I was standing on the northern hill (drinking section). In fact I was surprised they didn't rub things in a bit more given the extent of the win.

Doggies supporters well behaved too - very quiet for most of the game, me included :(

Gotta be happy with that display.
But as has already been said, Centrals had injury problems early on and it is only June.
The percentage and 2 points we earned from this game will just be a memory at the end of the year, becoming a more distant one in the light of whoever picks up the flag . In years to come we will be saying stuff like.."Didn't Sturt thump the Bullies at Unley a few years back...?"
Bloody great to listen to over the radio. Really enjoyed Life FM's call, but that could also have been the result of the extra crowd noise. It certainly sounded like a much bigger crowd than I usually hear over the radio at SANFL these days. Added a lot to the atmosphere.
Gowans name kept popping up despite the thumping, I thought that he must have kept persevering. His goal (in the third?) was quite a long one and I thought he may convert given his class.
Roll on Blues!! 8)
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

As Sturt supporters, I think its apt that we bask in the glory of such a good win, but we also need to keep in mind that this is NOT necessarily the death knell of the Central District Football Club. The game was a combination of Sturt being at their near best if not their best and Central being well below what we've come to expect from them. For Central to be in any sort of danger of not being a major force come September, we would have to see them limp battered and brusied into the Elimination Final and even then there would be concerns for everyone until they were eliminated. So without doubt, its a great result to be celebrated, but lets not be silly and start slamming the Gowans. I for one would have handed over good money to see those twins at Unley, as they are without doubt a major reason why Central own this league at present.

Sturts possession footy + skill level has been very good in 2009
But the disposals inside 50 have let them down on occasions in some games

ST played almost the perfect allround game Monday

From what I said before, any supporter base that cheers injuries or players that WIPE BLOOD on other players has issues, as well as continuing to swear and carry on even after the police told him that it was the family area...

No sour grapes, we deserved to be beaten by more, should have been considering we had about 16 fit players at 1/2 time!

Move on after we see how many weeks the ranga gets....

Smith should get off with a reprimand.
The culprit who caused him to bleed should get the games...I wonder who that is?

Smith should get 10 weeks, wiping blood on someone is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen, its even lowlier than Barry Hall's incident(s).

Don't fall out of your tree. This is the biggest beat up of all time. Besides, the ranga bloke is a med student, so i'm sure he
knew exactly what he was doing.

I'm not taking sides. I'll wait and see the tribunal result.
Hyperbole aside (the biggest beat up ever???), I just can't believe the statement above.
Being a med student, he should know that wiping blood on someone isn't a smart thing to do.

Ahh, so someone must have done something illegal to him for him to bleed. Do you have the same thought process for the centrals player who went off bleeding as well? Or is there just the slight chance that one or both were accidental while two players went for the ball, who may have even been team mates!

This senturiey has been mostly good and I'm not over it yet. The things I am over are the 02 GF, the 06 GF and Monday's game. Can't we talk about something nice now like trees and birds and fluffy clouds. The world is such an exciting place - why do some people get so hung up on a silly game of football?
