It speaks volumes that after a great win by your side, you are more concerned about the reaction of Chris Gowans rather than enjoying the win.............

:ymapplause:
I totally agree with you EasyE...we Sturt supporters should be simply enjoying the win. Two point is two points. Don't matter who usually...it's always good to beat the Dogs...any time of the year!
Bring on North! Time to move on!
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.

To not realise James wasn't even on the ground for over three quarters doesn't add much to your credibility. Anyway, too old too slow you think ? Me thinks deja vous. :D

 Get your facts straight sjt. That doesn't add much to your credibillity now does it? Go back to my post and tell me where I mentioned too old and too slow.

I have been watching the Gowans go round for the best part of a decade sjt. And I shall reserve the right to bag any oppostion player that spits the dummy like they do when they're losing (esp. James). Well come to think of it they can even spit it when they're winning too. Great players, no doubting that. And they have done so much for the CDFC and the SANFL in general, as had been said numerous times before. Can't you see why other supporters love to hate them? It's a combination of their brilliance AND their on field antics. They would not have looked out of place in black and white in the 80s and 90s. In line with that they have helped to bring your club a remarkable run of success. Play on...

Sorry Purch I must have misinterpreted your following post

"Well from what I saw today I'd be surprised if they go another season, so i think their time is about done. Sturt looked pretty fast against Centrals today and on more than a few occasions either Gowans were made to look pretty slow, so the only thing that I can see thay have to add to their team is experience, niggle and a bit of hard in and under. In short Centrals' older players were found wanting and were showed up."

Yes I can understand why other sides supporters love to hate them, and I believe most often they also respect them.

Play on...

Sturt way way way way way to good on the day, no excuses.

Had to admit i had a laugh at the Sturt supporters who continued to call Chris Gowans a hack, thug, useless footballer, a never was.
They did quite down though when i reminded them that Chris alone had more premiership medals and jack oatey medals than the whole Sturt side on the park. ;)

Just as I had to laugh when your goon squad behind the goals was calling Chambo a hack, useless and funniest of all a cheat.
We all have these sort of supporters, we all know it's just because we'd love to have the Gowans, you guys would love Chambo in your forward line, Crows supporting nannas would all be dripping if they had Pav, the list goes on.
Part of the fun of being a footy supporter is bagging opposition players. At least we're all not Norwood..... bagging our own players ;)

nothing irritates me more at the football than uneduacted dumb sledging and yes we all have them.

I'm not sure what you're trying to acheive sjt. Either you're stupid, childish or both.

How true - as if our draw hasn't been hard enough already we now have to face a rampant Sturt followed by the "wounded" dogs at Elizabeth facing a 3rd defeat in row, albeit a little fresher after the bye. Would rather play them this week with their injury list and incredibly (as noted in the 'Tiser) we have NIL injuries!

For those stats minded - when is the last time Centrals lost 3 in a row?

I don't envy you Drebin, going to be tough for the Roosters. There wouldn't have been many occassions in the last 7 or 8 seasons that Centrals have had a 3 game losing streak.

The last time we lost 3 in a row was April 2006.
