I think the 22nd June will be the date the F.O.L is used permanently at Angle Park. I went and watched the first meeting where it was used last week and the only thing i seen that may need a little adjustment is that the lure driver needs to make sure the lure stops at the same place each race. A couple of races it didnt stop until close to the 700m boxes. Now if the happens in a 731m race the poor dog would have run approx 900m before stopping That to me is a BIG WORRY.
The only other problem is the amount of muzzles getting damaged. These are not cheap to replace and you wouldn't want to have to many damaged each week etc.

All in all though i think it went well last week and i cant comment on today meeting as i didnt go down to watch.

CURLS CHOICE ran Monday night, ran well for 3rd
BILLS HOPE was prob relaxing at Two Wells and watching the other dogs on Foxtel

Today CURLS CHOICE was backing up from a 48 hour spell !
Trainer Yvonne King is a good trainer and I would always trust that her dogs can back up
Today having its 3rd run in 7 days

Today very astute Two Wells trainer Kim Johnstone produced BILLS HOPE after 9 days off
Trainer KJ backs up some dogs and not others, and I would always trust her dogs in any race

CURLS CHOICE missed the start by 2-3 L weaved its way thru the field and rounded up the leader just after the home turn
BILLS HOPE was in the pack also running on
In the straight it was still about 2L behind CURLS CHOICE
BILLS HOPE flasssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssshed home
Wins running away by several Lengths and defeats CURLS CHOICE easily !!!

Actually Bills Hope coursed sunday at virginia he went up twice got defeated 2nd course, i think the coursing helps them alot! He had been trialling well but be careful with him at night meetings as that stupid new light they have in the back straight has made several of my dog baulk and ease it seems to only happen if they are back in the field but he had the exact same run the monday prior but eased quite badly whereas today he didnt, Also all replays are avail now www.thewatchdog.com.au

Yeah looks like it will be a good dog, they were offered $5000 after its 2nd race start when it won by 15lengths. Think they have made the right decision keeping this dog. Certainly one to follow.
