Round 9 Tips

Greenacres v PAOC by 36 pts the Dragons should not worry the Red's too much but if its really wet they can cause an upset.
CBCOC v Salisbury West by 1 pt Match of the Round either side can go top if the Bulls also win, Dolphins just in a close one over the Tigers..
GOLDEN GROVE v North Haven by 42 pts the Magpies will be confident going in but the Kooka's too strong at home to keep in touch with the top 5...
UNLEY v Adelaide Lutheran by 12 pts the Jets at home in a close one as winner of this match is a good chance to stay up in Div 4 next season....
FITZROY v Pooraka by 18 pts both teams had big 10 + goal wins against each other at home last year but will be much closer this time around the Lions at home should be too good for the Bulls but u never know.....

A ripper round of footy ahead & all games can make or break this season for most clubs......
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

No wonder there was a big crowd on hand as they really were not there to see the Roo & the Red's in action against the previously undefeated Lions they all gathered to see the Jimmy's Red's Support Staff & even the Roy's were calling for water from the PAOC bench ;)

Does Missus Jimmy really know why u go to the footy

Greenacres V PAOC - having seen both sides - going be a good game at the gaol yard. Some really good match ups - many memories..........The 2" scar over my eye reminds me of my last game there.
CBCOC V Salisbury West - Another game of under 6 points for the purple porpoises. But SW still dont put 4 qtrs together and CBC wont go to the pub at 3/4 time like we did (sorry OB)
GG V Nth Haven - unfortunately. Would love No Cash Haven to wind them up & give the silvertails an earful afterwards
Unley V Lutheran - close one, but I'll go with the home team and Khabbaz lads to knock up getting kicks
Fitzroy V Pooraka - Fitzroy at the cemetery

Your mail would be correct TBL... ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

***NEWS FLASH****

4 CBC players were diagnosed with Swine Flu today after a trip to Melbourne on the weekend (or it might be 2 were diagnosed and 2 are in quarantine, I was just very shocked by the news!) One of the players is believed to be Josh Hegarty.

I sorta hope my source was pulling my leg, but unfortunately I don't think he was.

The said players didn't go to training on Tuesday I believe.

Flipper, DE?

Almost correct, but not swine flu

They have their own little bug

Dolphin and porpoise morbilliviruses are genetically distinct from phocine distemper virus.

Barrett T, Visser IK, Mamaev L, Goatley L, van Bressem MF, Osterhaust AD.
AFRC Institute for Animal Health, Pirbright Laboratory, Surrey, United Kingdom.

The morbilliviruses recently isolated from two cetacean species in the North and Mediterranean Seas have been shown to differ from phocine distemper virus isolated from European seals using monoclonal antibodies. We have identified a "universal" morbillivirus primer set, based on highly conserved regions of the morbillivirus phosphoprotein (P) gene and used this to amplify a region surrounding the RNA editing site from all known members of the group. Sequence analysis of this region of the gene shows that the striped dolphin and porpoise viruses are related but quite different from all other members of the group, forming a distinct lineage more closely related to the ruminant morbilliviruses than to the carnivore viruses.

PMID: 8460473 [PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE]

Unable to comment on this, Just returned from Melbourne today.

Josh Hegarty was doubtful this week due to hamstring, and it wouldn't surprise me if he misses this week.
