I'm not sure of the reason for the retro looking tops but you have to love the colours and the Big V!

Well **** me stupid. sorry for the french, but this is absolutely MASSIVE. I know you hate the term massive JTC, but this is definitely worthy:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5374142,00.html

The scummy Mancs have just accepted an 80m quid offer for Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

Welcome to the Galacticos part 2.

It's ON like Donkey Kong and IMO Utd's reign at the top has been smashed.

Would now love to see Vidic sold to Barca following their bid.

Ronnie to Real =======

Pretty sure we are allowed to spend that money on a few new players so I wouldn't be celebrating our downfall just yet....

Thought you would like it.

I think they are wearing it to celebrate the Roosters team of 2008. Most of thier players ducked off throught the season ;)

They are all following the Clarets who will be wearig a retro top to celebrate the title winning team of 50 years ago.

Drebin might argue with that statement though, but like Leicester at least we have a genuine reason. Everton are rolling out thier 1980's top, Why? I have not ducking idea.

With that money we can buy a few players. It is a ridiculous sum. Sad to see him go as he played some wonderful football for us but I am glad they accepted the sum as that is stupid money really.

Pretty tidy profit considering he was bought for about 12 mill or something.

Don't get me wrong he will be missed, but now is a great time to re shape things at Old Trafford and I'm looking forward to see who Fergi brings in. Will still be the team to beat next season.

Whilst still disappointed to see him go i dont think United will drop off like some are suggesting. Our Premier League title last season was won on the strength of our defence - and hopefully with a fully fit Hargreaves next season we will be even harder to score against.

What we will have to change tho is our gameplan. We beat alot of sides in the prem with fast counter attacking football, with Ronaldo's pace we could quickly turn defence into attack and create great chances with quick movement.

Will be looking forward to reading about some of the prospects we will try and purchase. IMO with that money we should buy a proven star such as Eto or Ribery and also invest in a young star in the making like Benezma.

The real loser i think in all this will be Ronaldo (football not moneywise). I think Fergie was a major factor in keeping the lads focus primarily on football and making sure he had the right attitude for the majority of the time. I really doubt he will be able to show the same form he has for United the past 2 seasons.

At the time it was thought we could never replace Robson, Cantona, Beckham & Keane but United have always shown to always be bigger then the individual.
