I agree with the G here. If the Eagles players don't know what the dogs players are like by now they never will, plus they will have enough video this week to study the players close enough.
Like he said it can't of been good for the mentality of the eagles players being there heearing the UDOGS and CEEEEEENTRALS chants, feeling that all the supporters think were back. Plus every Dogs supporters there was reminding them of their past failures. I honestly belive they would of been better served having a team bonding session and forgetting about the opposition and concerntrate on making sure they have there on game intact.

Rubbish! For example how would they have known whether it was CD or NA beforehand? How do you know they havent had a bonding session anyway? What in the hell has hearing chants got to do with anything?

what does chants have do with it? well obviously grand final day hasn't been a pleasent memory for your mob and i can't imagine listening to UDOGS and CEEEENTRALS for the entire of all the last quarters has been enjoyable for the group as players, escpecially when their own supporters put up a disgraceful effort noice wise every year.
A group of their players were sitting with in twenty metres of the end to enders. I just don't think that players needed to re-live that atmosphere again, because whether you like to admit it or not they must have mental disadvantage against Centrals. They have never beaten Central in a final and many times would have started games as the clear cut favourite yet have NEVER got over the line.
My personal opinion is that being at the ground in no way has helped their cause this Sunday, and if anything has been a disadvantage to their pysch entering the game.
Had North had won none this would enter the occasion but North didn't win.

Can someone interpret this sentence for me please because I cant understand a word of it?

Anyway Ill presume you can read whufc even though you cant write.  As far as any mental edge that CD may have over the Eagles. It may or not be the case - I doubt it because its generally just about what happens on the day. In any case I cant see that going to watch the opposition and hearing a bit of chanting is going to change the psyche of the players one little bit come this Sunday.

Sus,
Sorry about that sentence what i was meant to say was that if North won on Sunday this wouldn't have been an issue as watching Centrals lose would be an advantage.
We will never know what effect being ther Sunday has or will ever have, but there is no way that you can say Centrals don't have a mental advantage over the Eagles in finals. There is no way that ability has stopped the Eagles from winning all these recent finals. They have been as good if not better than the Dogs except for in finals.
At the end of the day sus we will have to agree to disagree.
I can understand what you are trying to say WHUFC because I have had to put up with every other SANFL fan having ago at me over the past G/F's and yes it started once the doggies won on the weekend!!
What I will say is what I have been saying in a few posts the EAGLES have recruited some new players who have not been influenced by the Centrals hoodoo in finals and COOPER has played in a GF winning team against CENTRALS.
But as SUS say's it all boils down to what happens on the day .

GO YOU EAGLES !!
