i think a few ppl who play in the higher divs are a bit arrogant! wasnt there talk last year that athelstone and henley c grade team didnt want to go up to div 6 if they made the gf? if there not much difference dont no why they wouldnt go up. I know a few players who played both and most of them all said div 6 better standard. There 1 or 2 who go 2 higher divs and only play B grade and think they are superstars

In Div1R, there would be about 10 players who have played in or are capable of playing Div1.

Out of interest, do people think SANFL Reserves would beat Div1 A's these days?
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

I think young Kierian Holland and a few of his mates are playing at ROCS. they'd be 18 or 19 at best - ex PNU juniors..

you guys are dreaming...

Div 6 sides would beat perhaps the sides outside the top 5 when they're not having a great day but wouldn't get close to the top 5 when at full strength.

Henley, for example, would have atleast 5 - 10 blokes in their div1R side that would most likely play in any other div1 side in the comp at another club. admittedly there are maybe 3 or 4 guys that could probably play c grade but surely it is obvious with their sides all at the top of the ladders of their divisions that they have great depth and probably have players playing div7 that would otherwise be playing d1R at another club.

ttg, Gaza, Goodwood & Gepps are all similar i would suggest.

its fine that div 6 have FORMER div1 players playing at the clubs but i would suggest they have moved on are would be chasing some coin nowdays because they don't want to play div1R (b grade at a higher level)! if they are still as good as they were surely they should be playing at a higher level.

Whatever div people play is great as long as they are playing, but dont compare strong div1 and 1R sides to sides that are playing div6, still throwing coin around and "still playing div 6!". everyone keep a look out for these div 6 sides....maybe we'll see them in div1 in 6 years if they're as good as they say they are because i would suggest there a sides playing higher than div6 that would get beaten by some of the div1R sides....? ;-)

Big win for the Gullies on the w/e and think they've showed the comp now, they are the real deal.

some people are loyal and want to play with there mates.. 6 and 7 big jump, thats why the teams that came up are stuggling.. i dont see the point in arguing about this no more it was just my thoughts after watching a scrappy and slow game.. goodluck to everyone for the rest of the year

graduated rostrevor 2006...just looking at last weeks ROCs As and there were 7 players from my year or below. another 7-8 that played B grade.

just putting it out there on the quality of div 1 reserves, and there is someone in that B grade team who has never played footy before untill this yr. not an atheletic person either...

Alot of teams have youngsters running around which is good....

At Modbury we have in the A grade squad we have 10 between 20-23 years old and 4 under 19 years of age.

There is still 3 players in the 20-23 year old bracket to hopefully come back from injury in the next couple of weeks. A good young squad at Modbury and have played a lot of footy together and come through the grades together which is good....

Yeh, you'd be looking at yummy mummies, with a VB in one hand, your other scrathing your crotch, wearing your MILF T shirt with sauce stains down the front from the pie you were eating.

WTF is happening at Gepps Cross.

So sick of them having a quality side good enough to go close but never really getting there. What is missing?

Well everyone has played eachother now what are your thoughts of the other teams (dont make it a bagging session ;) )

Henley - cant comment as didnt see the game, from the sounds of it we played 15 mins of bad footy and Henley kicked away. Very good team cant give them an inch FAVOURITES FOR FLAG SURELY
TTG - Solid midfield(toughness), Pitty up forward dangerous - can challenge for the title on there day
Goodies - classy 2 tall ruckman(1 did his knee i believe) not much depth in 2's so a few injuries could set them back but cant question the quality of the team - like them more than the gullies to play Henley in the GF
Gepps X - height all over the ground, lacked a bit of real class like goodies have but have the runners and height to push for a GF.
Salisbury Nth - big bodies, some pace around the ground - in a battle with Gaza and Modbury for middle places and a
finals chance.
Gaza - few big boys with some pace around the ground.
ROCS - rely on lister heavily to kick enough goals for them to win
Modbury - dropped some games they shouldnt have, get a few key players back in the team soon and should come home well
Port Dist - obviously can play when they put it together eg. last weeks result but when we played them they were a bit of a rabble, so no doubt some work to do
SHOC - think they are assured of going down just who joins them is a guess

Apart from Henley all teams have shown they can match it with the teams above them. Looking forward to the run home
