In my opinion a WIN is a WIN, so you sing the song.

You can be dissapointed in your performance as much as you like but it would never not warrant singing the club song.

As players they should appreciate every win they get.

We celebrated well into the night but also had a chat with the boys that they have now set a standard of footy that we expect them to maintain for the rest of the year.

Glad we could help out getting you blokes a game clear of the raggies. Im sure Quichey and his mates are just as pleased. Should be a cracking last half of the season in div 7 with most games lately being very closely contested. Looking forward to it.

i thought the same thing, but i think instead of dividing the goals by the total number of shots he's divided the goals by the points... maybe...

example - if my team kicked 64 goals 36... my calculation would be 64/100 = 64% accuracy. what i think Q did is 64/36 = 177.78%

makin sense?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

NG is correct. I was lazy, the percentage is only weighted against behinds, not total shots. I will adjust it.

Was a good game NG. It was a terrible tag :) I rate you guys in the middle, you seem work quite well in there.
A 25m penalty and a couple of a silly free kicks late on let you guys down a bit!
After the first quarter, you guys were better than us I reckon.

yeah but unfortunately there is nowhere on the ladder that shows 'honourable losses'

we just gotta keep improving, which we will. and RE the middle, we had what we call our DreamTeam centre on the weekend!!! Young Benny our ruckman was playin in the 2's up until about 3 weeks ago! he is a gun and will only get better, Jurina is my favourite, my wife tells me i have a man crush... and Micko is like a Daniel Cross type, 35 touches, 30 handpasses!

Is Jurina #19? Good player if I have the right guy. Seems to be a good bloke too so I understand the man crush haha.
You fellas killed us for clearances and I am still having nightmares. Benny played well too.

This Saturday against Athelstone St Paul's will be conducting a Kids Coaching Clinic from 10.30am - 11.45am @ Mawson Lakes Oval for all kids aged 5 - 14 years.

Clinic will be conducted by some of The Saints boys with great giveaways for all kids attending along with a free sausage sizzle and bouncy castle.

We're hoping some of the families stay and enjoy the day afterwards to support us against The Raggies.

I looked over to the opposition bench and, for perhaps the first time ever in my life, I noticed that there were ZERO opposition supporters. Yes, the entire Reserves team had p*ssed off and left their clubmen to get flogged. It was quite a discussion amongst us lads after the game, we could not fathom why anyone would want to play C Grade for Adelaide Uni, being left with a substandard team with NO support. Some top blokes (who try their guts out) in that C Grade team, especially Pete Austin who sunk several beers with us after the game.

As has been well commented, Adelaide Unis D grade team are simply trophy hunting. The D grade appears to be a mini club with in a large club.

there are many different reasons why no support - but as a member of the blacks i'd be disappointed with absolutely none. its swotvac/assignment time so many would have hurried back to the books.

uni's c grade, more than any other side are affected by the a and b grade and with quite a few out in both grades, they get affected. many uni players are from the country/interstate or not within family groups so that portion of support is unable to be accessed.

with regards to the 7 reserves, leave it alone. the core are early to late 30's players who've played in that side for 5+ years - in some cases 10 years. then its got a heap of players from st marks residential college (country/interstate residential college) who want to play together because that's who they know in adelaide. i don't think that's such a bad thing especially since they may not be good enough to play higher.

uni sides are generally pretty similar in standard from b grade down - this means that the division that exists (often) ion district sides doesn't exist so much at uni - what it doesn't mean is that those players playing below would make a massive difference to the c grade. yes, some would be able to play but that's the beauty of tyhe amateur league - you often get to make that choice.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much
