You took the words right outa my mouth mate! Maybe the boys at Kangy should make a few phone calls to Callington and ask them how it's done.

Pigsy says Kangarilla players need to grow some nuts like the Callington crew.

Cheers mate! Echunga by 50g but the Cally boys still had their heads up in the darkness!

Hillbilly and others; I know where you are coming from. Callington seem to know how to take getting their arses kicked every week and there's always the question "how long can they stand it?" Many solutions to this problem have been mooted on here. But the bottom line is that Callington seem to have chosen to hang in there for yet another season. So we should all respect them for that choice.

Anyone know if Kangy fielded B's yesterday?

How totally soft is that? Whatever happened to running through 8 quarters of footy for the love of the jumper when your club is desperate? How many of us have done that in our time? Must be really bad in that neck of the woods. One for the 'shame file' Kangy. What happened? Swine flu maybe? Or couldn't face up to a potential whipping which some teams endure every week. Sorry to appear mean, but watching the Cally boys walk off with their heads up in the dark yesterday was pretty inspirational.

In the match between Nairne and Macclesfield yesterday there was a female central umpire who did the match with Mick Taylor.
Has she done an A grade match before and if not has there been a female do an A grade game before?
Think she did a very good job and was good at letting the 50/50 stuff go generally and not getting drawn into paying ticky touchward free kicks.

Nathan Twomey and Luke Percy were the difference in the game IMHO for Nairne.

The Mt.Gould Cup remains where it belongs, but Gums have improved. Not sure using Graham as an onballer against the Kersbrook contingent was the best move though. Ashby will poll well, as Boozehound predicted, as he carries the footy and Gums have nothing else of that quality. But it should have been no votes for him on Saturday.

Remember Kersbrook a couple of years ago, rounding them out the pub, just to get two sides on the park. The great 'Jumbo' of Kersbrook, every bit of 50 playing against Meadows, just so we wouldn't forfeit. Surely Kangy have ex Club legends willing to help out? Or perhaps there are NO legends at Kangarilla?

ill clear it upfor people who arnt sure whats going on with kangys forfiet...

kangy apparently had 27 available players on thursday night who had trained... on top of that there were plenty of ex players, juniors and club legends who offered to pull on the boots. however their responses to help were in vain. at the end of the day the coaching panel, comprising of the a grade coach, a grade team manager, assistant coach and the b grade cach (who unfortunatly was outvoted by the others) made the decision to forfeit. NO player, member or anyone in the community was even given the opportunity to fill in or call a mate to help out. a grade coaching panel wanted to stick to his guns and belief of 'no train, no play'.

as a result 15 b graders played a grade on saturday and the result showed. to their credit these boys didnt drop their heads and went as hard as they could against quality opposition. saddest thing was hearing a tv supporter yell out to a kangy player "you're only good enought to play b grade... oh wait you dont have one!". tough call on a guy who did the right thing and played up in a grade he where he was wel out of his league

as you can imagine this caused a massive uproar (of which i was apart). mutiny was almost called by several past and current players and members . 99% of the club disagreed with the decision to forfeit and were embarrassed, ashamed and livid with the forfeit.

my only theory is that the coaching panel were looking to make a statement. hopefully this will prove to be effective but to be honest im not sure it will!

i can say now on behalf of alot of kangy players that we agree with the statements of 'p**s weak', and 'front runners' etc

hopefully they wont have to ever forfiet again as ipredict there will be a riot if it occurs!

the decision was made by a few individuals. maybe try not to attack the community or people who are doing the right thing cos i can tell you it got the emotions flowing!

as for div 7... were actually out of the amatuer league zone as is anyone south of happy valley, north of elizabeth and east of the freeway!

Was he cleared to play?

THANKS FOR CLARIFYING THAT DENTIST. MY FULL APOLOGIES TO THE 99% OF THE CLUB WHO TRIED TO STOP THE DEBACLE FROM HAPPENING. Politics in football stink but are unfortunately part of the scheme of things. A bit like that classic line in "THE CLUB" - 'The players can go to hell!'. Seems the first thing for Kangy to do is get a bigger football committee with more player reps. And get the President and Senior Football Director on board as well

the kangy committee work very hard and there is always too few doing all the work. in my honest opinion if you want changes at a club you should join the committee and put your hand up to help out. actions speak louder than words!

Ohh 1250 seems like you know a bit whats goin on down there at blue land. I ve heard from several sources that the A grade coaching position was offered to some one else within the club to take over from stringer??? any confirmation...... Credit to stringer with keeping up with his policy with NO TRAIN NO PLAY but is it a little to late, should he have implemented this policy when he had a full complement of players and a committed team of players not when the cattle isnt there??? My advice let everyone play, but if you dont train you play B Grade. It seems that might be too late with players leaving due to this reasons. Now with your (Kangy) stars not training in the A grade this could be your demise!.....
