Not trying to take anything away from Smithfield as they had the better players on the ground for much of the game (in particular their skipper Taylor - BOG by that far he should get 2nd and 3rd votes too! And a couple of kids who were great – who ever was at CHF!) but it has to be said that in the end it really wasn’t a game of football.

Yeah mate, Steve was sensational, I don't know if this was the case, I seen Darren Ueding running with him on a few occaisions, surely he wasn't assigned to him.

MD3 actually picked the correct margin, I was 4 points out.

kenilworth lads had a fair crack in both games saturday. great spirit and fight shown right to the end.

hey sprint..thanks for that..the coaches were very happy with the effort on saturday all things considered..7 goals to 5 blackfriars way after half time was a good result..the boys did have a dip and if you lose when you give 100% then no-one can complain..your class was just to good for us..parish is a gun..said it last year and say it again..39 or 49 on the wing was also very good and millikan..oval was in pretty good shape to

No one was assigned to him...or more importantly no one wanted to take responsibility for him until the last term...and look what happened after that in the change in the game....that’s how much influence he had in the first 3 terms.

How bizarre, 4v3, 2v1, 6v5 & 9v8. All lower ranked sides are at home to add to the closeness, should be a cracker of a round.

No one was assigned to him...or more importantly no one wanted to take responsibility for him until the last term...and look what happened after that in the change in the game....that’s how much influence he had in the first 3 terms.

He went forward for most of the last quarter, he did get the clearance that got us the saving goal though when he went back in. I would of been surprised seeing Ueding tagging someone, he is too valuable to be playing a shut-down role, you cleared that up for me though.

Dissapointing day down at plympton for the dees. C's and B's put in great efforts to go down narrowly, but the A's never gave a whimper which was dissapointing. Full credit to plympton though, play their home ground as good as anyone i have seen, they stuck to their structures, very disciplined and their skills were superb for a div 5 side. Smith absolutely tore us apart down forward, took everything within an arms reach and couldnt miss from any angle, but their midfield were superb, hard running both ways, and didnt give us any opportunity to get our game going. IMO their A's and B's are the sides to beat this year. The only positive that come out of the game was the 75 point margin in the A's won my mrs $50, and even that was denied, as she put the tickets in my name, yet claimed the $50! someone tell me how thats fair

Could you explain the game??? sounds interesting...

I was told that the number on the raffle ticket represented the margin in the A Grade game.....75 points was the margin and my mrs picked ticket number 75.....nice when the hv crowd is quiet and she is praying for another plympton score

Pigsy says you'd have to sell plenty of tickets when playing against Ingle Farm! Or would you just start it from 100 onwards

Yes, you are right i`ve been around rosie`s now long enough to know the wheel keeps turning. Been there for premierships and relegation, but as far as success goes we finished 6th last year and we haven`t set the division on fire yet this year so success is stretching it i think. i just like stirring the pot, and lets be honest it is only div. 5. now isn`t it. It`s nearly as funny as brahma lodge saying they would give some div. 1 res sides a touch up.

im a bit confused as well....how does rosewater knock off pultney but then lose to an undermanned smithfield....neverless great win to the smithfield boys

From what i saw rosewater only came to play in the last quarter, the game was all but over by then. We all know you can`t win footy in one quarter especially the last.

They gave it a bloody good shake though, 5 points with over 3 minutes remaining, I thought we were going to steal a loss from the jaws of victory.

As much as i liked your first post about the kenilworth jumper i think this post is well written and on the money well done maddog i look forward to reading your future posts. Oh and your talking about the BIG unit running around in the orange, HE IS A PEANUT no doubt about it.
