As much as i liked your first post about the kenilworth jumper  i think this post is well written and on the money well done maddog i look forward to reading your future posts. Oh and your talking about the BIG unit running around in the orange, HE IS A PEANUT no doubt about it. ;)[/quote]

and just for the record….

Frees
Rosewater 24
Smithfield 38

Frees (from one individual only)
Rosewater 13
Smithfield 32

Of which 4 frees were given to Smithfield when not in control
Rosewater got 0

Two 50m penalties to Smithfield
Rosewater got 0

Four 25m penalties to Smithfield
Rosewater got 0

And in the last quarter when the score was twice 5 points, he over turned the ball (a mark and free kick to Rosewater) which resulted in two goals to Smithfield

No yellow cards, no reports – nothing. The coach even stopped some players coming off (as it is a team rule if you give away a 25m penalty) simply because there was nothing to come off for. My point – the discipline was fantastic I thought.

The other umpire gave 11 fee kicks to Rosewater and 6 to Smithfield. Simply didn’t have time to give any other free kicks as the other individual certainly wasn’t out of huff’n’puff

And he had the nerve to say to the Smithfield supports…you were lucky to win!

And you may ask why would anyone take stats on individual umpires? Histroy suggests that some individuals have the ability to make lightning strike twice

This all goes back to something i posted on umpires a few weeks ago - it should be maditory for coaches to fill in a DETAILED umpires report and send it in each week, and if there looks to be a trend in particular clubs or umpires then an observer should be sent out to have a look, and if the observer has the opinion that the umpire is a blatant cheat then the club should be made to act on it before sanctions are made.

There should also be something sent out to the clubs that have put in these forms about an umpire that somthing has been done, which i believe is important, sometimes feedback is taken on board but no-one knows that anything has actually been done...

This report should be manditory, not just if your unhappy. Because it could also be used as a recruiting tool for umpires constantly getting decent feedback. Not that i want to make it harder for clubs to find umpires if the league is going to pinch them, but i think everybody would agree that if he's good, then get him up doing the 1s.

Just a question for the BOS faithful. Has your club approached the Prospect City Council and argued the point of the lack of parking around your ground. I know quite a few of the Kenilworth faithful received fines on the weekend and I got pinged last year for parking in a no parking zone. Even though it was bucketing down and I could not find a park any where. The P.C.C has a reputation for ripping off motorists and so on, but surely if they can not supply sufficient parking for their facilities they lease out they have no right pinging people each oppourtunity they get. Absolute joke.

agree - feel sorry for BOS - they don't seem to get much from the council by the looks of things
Does SAAFL have requirements such as parking etc before games can be played at ground?

Really handy when you roll up and all the school games are still going as well!

I would think that since St Dominic's is a parkland ground in North Adelaide, it would be in the Adelaide City Council area? I think Fitzroy Tce may be the border between Adelaide City and Prospect councils though, but not who would give out the fines.

This might sound sucky but it was great to play them, they were hard at it all day and it should be a ripper of a game whe we meet next, which we will.......... Regardless of the results today, it was a fantastic day for amatuer footy... Hope Valley are a fantastic club and they have earnt my respect (not that means much. Hahahaha!!!), football was the winner today..... triple headers are the way to go.... i know what i say doesn''t mean much but Hope Valley are a danger side and i rekon they will be one of the sides to watch come september and in the twos , i was chatting to some of the boys who played last year in the reserves (i was one of them) we all agreed HV are a harder and better drilled side then Golden Grove last year....... Danger side....
Anyways im not sucking up, i just call it as i see it...... Well done to all sides today and well done to ingle farm b's, gettn so close....

WUBLV12, every post that you write about Plympton winning you stick bits in about Plympton having 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,100,100000000 players out... it sh*ts me beyond belief!!!

EVERY ****ing SIDE HAS PLAYERS OUT

Yes we had a few pull out but so does every other bloody football side in australia!!

PS thanks for the beer on satdy night!

my bad, wasn't tryn to sound like big deals, i was just happy with the effort..... wont happen again..

Your welcome, i must have had a few more jimmy's then i thought to buy you a drink.. hahaha!!!! when are you back?

ahh to get a park you have to time it nicley between the parents leaving from the school games and just b4 the B grade you should get a park down the side ;) p.s. LK its your own fault i beleive there are signs saying fine if you park around the parklands

Full credit to plympton though, play their home ground as good as anyone i have seen, they stuck to their structures, very disciplined and their skills were superb for a div 5 side. Smith absolutely tore us apart down forward, took everything within an arms reach and couldnt miss from any angle, but their midfield were superb, hard running both ways, and didnt give us any opportunity to get our game going. IMO their A's and B's are the sides to beat this year. The only positive that come out of the game was the 75 point margin in the A's won my mrs $50, and even that was denied, as she put the tickets in my name, yet claimed the $50! someone tell me how thats fair ;)

Could you explain the game??? sounds interesting...

I was told that the number on the raffle ticket represented the margin in the A Grade game.....75 points was the margin and my mrs picked ticket number 75.....nice when the hv crowd is quiet and she is praying for another plympton score :D

Pigsy says you'd have to sell plenty of tickets when playing against Ingle Farm! ;) Or would you just start it from 100 onwards

Justadad says he hopes the Swine Flu catch's up with Pigsy for the cheap shot!
They are down and just about out,so cut out the "kicking em when they are down" will ya.

parking is an issue there. adelaide city council has the land and then prospect council has the road and north of the road.
there is nothing we can do about the ground being used for school footy prior to the b grade playing. it's not every home game but most. the school holds the lease.

for those playing there between now and the end of the season there is a side access road on the northern side of fitzroy terrace, over the mound of trees/bushes. aquatic centre car park can be used as well.

it's not ideal but there is nothing we can do about it.

Westminster vs Elizabeth: 49 points, Westminster will be hungry to overcome thier round 1 loss
Plympton vs Hope Valley: 40 points, at home and flying, they are too well drilled

BOS to beat Kenilworth.......by a fair bit, they look like a finals side to me last week and that beehive is a distinct advantage.
PULTENEY to beat Ingle farm..........by a cricket score and that will include them declaring.
ROSEWATER to beat Smithfield..........Good solid side Rosies and i havent Smithfield yet.
WESTMINSTER to beat Elizabeth.........so Lances Brother can have a few winning ales tonight and isnt too thirsty when he comes to Valley oval.
HOPE VALLEY to beat Plympton........looking forward to this one should be a beauty if round 1 was anything to go by.

Tried to drink as much as I could Saturday night Demonseye, but kept getting thirsty still, so not looking good for this Saturday. Think you still owe me a beer too, don't ya? :)

To the Ingle Farm Football Club Committee:

I would just like to congratulate the Club on the way that they conducted themselves on Saturday.

Not wishing to sound patronising, as regardless of final score line in the A Grade, the commitment, enthusiasm and even enjoyment was clear for all to see.

We finished last in Div 4 last year so can appreciate how tough it is to keep spirits up.

Having played ********* previous and seeing how quickly they raised the white flag, and comparing that to the energy of your club it showed a marked difference.

That may not win you games but it can certainly build strength and resolve in a club.

You will cop rubbish from those outside, ignore it and keep supporting your kids. You have got some good ones.

Good luck for the rest of the Year.

Andrew McRitchie

Thankyou for your reply old farmer.
I would assume that going by your user name and your reply (and previous posts),your an ex player who left on bad terms (please except my apologies if I am assuming to much).Im sorry to hear of that if that is the case. As I am just a dad who has brought my sons out to train 2 nights a week and enjoy watching them have a kick on Sundays.
I,like everyone else on this fine forum, are avid supporters of their respective club and as a fairly new comer to the club,I enjoy the friendships I have made and the spirit around the club. I am passionate about the game after playing many years myself and with that passion comes support for our footy club as a whole BUT I stay well away from all the politics. I wish not to make enemies, including yourself. If there are current or past issues with yourself and the club,I hope they can be meneded. If not, then thats a shame. They sure could use a few ex players with experience around the club to help us out of the current slump.
Anyway,enough of my rant.
Have a great day.
