NM, you speared an upset and missed some others but you also missed out on the worst umpiring exibition I have EVER seen in Div 1 football. One ump even chastized verbally a player who had been the victim of a head high tackle after a down field free was paid by his colleague and the player was picking himself up off the ground.
We are in big trouble with both the quality and ability of umpires to both read and understand what's actually happening in front of them, would love to go further into it but would also quote this from a SHOC official to the umpires post game
"well done umps, a great job". Now that's either crap or they're hoping to get them again next week!

I havent checked through this forum as i cant be stuffed and its rather late to go through everyones posts. So I apologise if this has been said already.
I have it on very good authority (my source is very high up and very involved in the club) that a certain AFL star that has just retired and played his last game here at AAMI today is in talks with a Div1 club about returning home and finishing off his football career with either (correct me if im wrong, but i didt really understand the relation that he has) his brother, brother in law or cousin. I think it is more like brother or cousin.

Its seems as though it is a bit of a certainty that he will play net year just not certain on the time frame. He has no interest in satying at his AFL club in any manner and wants to come home to be close to his family. If this is the case it would be a fantastic score for this Div1 club and would definately lead to more people coming to the club and spending moneythey might have to if they are offering him the sort of money that I havebeen told he has been offered. If he is good luck to him and the club in question. Should be very interesting.

Lads,
I have heard that the club has available to give to a good home, 1 x medium player's polo, shorts & socks, worn about 8 times and a plastic clipboard complete with stats sheets & biros(red & black). No longer required by the current owners as they have moved on to another club.
Can you confirm?
