Gallant though thier effort may have been, 20 odd brothers playing in the same side isnt always the answer for a solid team structure... and on another note, perez hilton wouldve been happy with some of the hair styles that were being sported by the EP players... Nothing wrong...

A great game by the BIG, STRONG, HARD, WELL EQUIPED and DEEPLY EFFECTIVE kevin koch in the ruck for pnu last week... So good was he, that he had the on ballers coming back for more....

Just what the football world needs, another big koch ;)

There is a kundt playing for GG in Div 4

It didn't..... I retired from A grade footy as of that game. Still will play B's and try and help out.[/quote]
After the pre season you had (on and off the field) i thought this was going to be a big year for the boozehound.Have fun in the magoos mate, your not the first "old" full forward to finish playing A`s out there and then run around in the two`s.All the best for the rest of the season. ;)

I thought it was going to big a big year too but it just hasn't worked out. Haven't picked up much pace or agility after losing all the weight which surprised me. Kicking for goal had been awful. Had I of kicked reasonably straight so far this year I would be on around 30-40 goals but just hasn't come together.

Had a torn muscle in my shoulder since round three or four and tore my tricep (how do you do that playing footy  ) a couple of weeks ago. Teamates and coaching staff lost confidence in me and mine followed shortly after.

Anyway will help out as foward line coach and stay involved.

stimpy wrote:the PNU v EP was a cracker of a game. PNU leading comfortably for the first 2 and a half quarters. then when they were down to 17 men briefly due to no players left on the bench EP got a run on and took the lead. they're a great side when they get a run on and are hard to stop. was a great character win by the boys, given the circumstances and players out etc.

zac miller looks to be a very handy inclusion for EP. PNU were definitely lucky that it was only his first game for the team and didn't know a lot of the guys because he really showed his class on patches and will only get better. they definitely look to him a lot though. as they do with him, taylor and gatto.

and i wait for the bitching to start from the EP boys on this forum re the umpiring........ as they do every week they lose

Oh is that right Stimpy? How about backing your argument up with some evidence? I have mentioned good umpiring and bad umpiring and also did not say anything about the umpiring this week or last week nor did anyone else from eastern park from memory....

It was a cracker of a game and yes the umpiring was sub standard as usual but didn't cost us the game. The ONLY thing that cost us the game was the 20 points we kicked. Yes bad kicking is bad football. Our fault.

sure thing boozehound. the constant whinging of your players was pathetic. much worse than i have ever seen from any team before. and the non shaking of the hands after the game from some of your players didn't look too good either. made yourselves look like a bunch of sooks.
previous posts from yourself i reckon have had a crack at the umpires saying that you boys are hard done by.
truth of the matter is that most umpires are just consistently crap, not favourable to one side.

in no way do i reckon i'd make a good umpire. umpired a school scratch match going back a few years, and it was friggin hard. copped a heap from my own mates too. it's a very hard job to do. not saying i could do better by any means. was just trying to point out that they don't often cheat. well not at the higher level grades anyway.

Someone from Paynham calling another team sooks ha ha ha ha ha!! All I heard all day from you blokes was sooking to the ump. One of your onballers whines and points to the ump while chasing the footy.

I'm certain you won't qualify as a detective - I move around SAAFL circles enough to have a handle on whats going on. I have my own concerns about the umpires, but I find it poor that people simply find it easy to put blame on umpires when players make about 10 times more mistakes in a game than umpires.

If you can do better - get in touch with the umpiring department and give it your best shot!
