affelstone footy club

Postby butterfingers » Mon Jun 29, 2009 3:40 pm

Also, is it just me, or did athelstone get an absolute spanking on the weekend... How I would love nothing more than hear from someone who was at the game and saw what was already a sinking ship go down even further.... When will they learn that playing ahead of the footy and having to many outside footballers will never produce long term success... its a bit more complicated than picking fruit...

Bit harsh.... not like they are sitting bottom or anything... :?
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I'd think there'd be a fair few clubs out there guilty of that in the past....

I was at the game they were well in it at half time (1 goal down from memory) and then fell off quite dramatically. Pretty sure they copped some injuries along the way. I think this game was a bit like their season have had some good results and then it can change in a week or in this case in a half.

Someone with 3 posts to their name and coming on here would suggest you have an ulterior motive. I'd suggest you're a Raggies Mole having one last attempt to shite stir your blokes in to gear. Predictable son, predictable

Ease up Turbo - shoot a man coz they got an opinion? - Raggies have lots of injuries I believe - can't be all bad - the B's got up over a good PHOS team (unless they had injuries)

Look at your own club - three losses in a row innit?

Aaah boozehound, there is nothing quite like the sage advice from a past player whose biggest strength was to neatly pick the splinters from his backside...

Now that you have alot more time on your hands, I think you should consider violin lessons. A scratchy string section adding to those resonating drums out at ep will round out what is quite the football experience for travelling teams...

Must go, Fabio is delivering more butter...

Excellent, you obviously saw a lot of my career.

It's amusing to see a new poster come on here and try to make themselves sound intelligent before realising that no-one really cares if you know what "resonating" means and until you have something constructive, intelligent or useful to say about your team or even anothers then you will remain without respect....

I must confess Boozehound, I did not see alot of your career, as more often than not your games conflicted with the netball games of my 8yr old niece... watching promising talent won out every time.

And again boozer, you got me... I am newer than many to this forum, as the idea of spending too much time on the site, frankly, raises too many questions about the fabric of ones social character...... sorry, am I getting caught up in my intellect again...

As for constructive, intelligent or useful, lets keep it simple for this one... From what I saw on saturday the forward line at ep looks better now than it did 12 months ago.

And finally, respect from a pixilated leprechaun isnt high on my agenda, although, with respect, your welcome to come around any time and I can get Fabio to rub some healing butter into those failing bodyparts of yours...

Pin your shoulders back and walk tall Bozzehound. Be safe in the knowledge that mantle of iconic cult figure within this mighty forum is well and truly still yours

All our love,

Fabio and Butterfingers

Ahhh yes, the poor micro-blogger, a socially inept retard with a pedestal for anonymous attacks. Sorry Butterfingers if we did not immediately realise that you are too good enough to need to join up to the forum and that you are beyond the faceless flagellation of known identities...oh wait...
