Cheers mate it is terrific as I'm very proud of her but I wasn't impressed that you generalised as you did as my daughter most definately isn't a regular gambler. I know you have taken offence before at generalisations so was most suprised you did the same yourself.

None in my household.
I only bet when I am confident the odds are in my favour.
Lotteries are the form of gambling where the odds are the furthest from being in my favour so it is the last form of gambling I would consider betting on.
As I have shown above, there are many other ways in which you can turn small amounts of money into large amounts at much better odds, so there is no logical reason for people to put money into lotteries.

Just on your point about only buying a ticket when the prize pool is bigger, Id recommend buying a ticket moreso when the prize is smaller as with exceptions like lst night Ive seen that the prize is actually larger a lot of the time as there's less winners.

The local player had registered his winning entry on an Easiplay Club membership card, enabling SA Lotteries to contact him with the news just hours after the draw.

If you referred to "my kids" as feral, thats not generalising though, thats specific.
"All kids are feral" is generalising. Then, because I know it isnt true in my kids case, I couldnt care less.
