very brave effort by the kookas yesterday..3 goals down at 3/4 time (should have been 1 goal) but couldnt sustain it..both teams had numerous players out and it was a fairly tough spectacle..both sides made many skill errors all day as well..was something the matter with the ball? :)

i disagree with possum..pulteney are clearly the favorites, but a great effort by HV against them..well done to rosies as well bouncing back hard

cats to thump the saints today by 8 goals +

Premiership favourites would have to be Plympton and Pultney. Both sides have shown the ability to present quality footy week in and out. Personally I rate Plympton as the premiership favourites. I think others may consider Pultney as the Perrie & Basset show, but they have a lot more quality players than that and have proved their depth, with a big win over Hope Valley's reserves today.

Smokey's would be BOS and WOS. BOS are charging at the right time of year. If they continue to string wins together they may well do some damage in finals. If WOS are any chance of challenging in finals they need to bridge the gap between their best footy and their worst, because their inconsistency is costing them.

Personally, I think Rosewater, Hope Valley & Elizabeth are just making up the numbers this year. They are good sides, but not great sides, and not good enough to challenge for a Div 4 berth.

Kenilworth will not beat another side other than Ingle Farm this year, and Smithfield may as well start preparing for 2010.

It will be an interesting year in Div 5 2010. By all reports Brahma Lodge will take all before them on their way to a Div 1 Reserves Premiership.
I would not be surprised if the Div 4 sides are in amongst it. I would love to play against Adelaide Lutheran again as they were always a good adversary.

hahahahahahahahhhahahah...
great report... i have to agree...

Injuries to A graders caused 5 to go up from last weeks side, plus a couple others out. A few new faces plus a couple of u/18's may have unsettled the side a bit. Not an excuse, the team that played still didn't perform and Pultney were a lot hungrier and deserved the win. It probably cost us the minor premiership as well

Injuries hurt every club and we're not using it as an excuse. We expect to win with whichever 21 blokes who take the field. The lads that went up showed our depth is fairly good, with all of them contributing and almost causing a huge upset in the 1's

theres laughing and theres bagging.. my honest opinion is that we could beat them teams.. my mates play div 1R and they would not get a game in our team.. i figured we would knock them off, maybe we wouldnt maybe we would but we will never know so how about you just let people have there opinion's and not laugh at them..

Agree also. Look at the logic. Henley's C grade are top in Div 7 which is only one grade away from BL. Imagine what Henley's B grade would do to B/Lodge

Henley's C grade would get beaten by 200+ by Brahma Lodge and so would we. It is not unreasonable to assume that the top sides in Div 4,5,6 would be competitive against Div 1R teams.

Good to see a handful of the Rosewater B grade finish the game off well - good image for the club to start sniping in the final 10 minutes when the game was done and dusted... that big peanut that decided to break a blokes nose who is about half the size of him desveres to sit out the rest of the season, if not the rest of next season too

Congratulations must go to Rosies, played a harder style of footy than us on the weekend. Prime movers used the ball well and got numbers behind the ball. As for WOS a week is a long time in footy and it showed, back among the pack again but looking forward to the next 6 weeks, getting a few guys back and see if we can sneak in.

emerson stretches the lead in the tips with 5 from 5.
good effort by our lads on saturday. 5 down at qtr time but settled after that to record a solid win. well ump'd by the father / son combination.
important game this weekend to hold on to the double chance spot for a bit longer.

Are you stealing my thunder ;) . Well done to you guys on the weekend, playing some consistent footy, well done to Rosies aswell to put them back in the race. Walking across the oval on Saturday after the game, one of the Ingle Farmers said to another "9 goals 7, that's 10 goals, we'll take that". It was excellent to see their spirit not dampened and they could still take positives out of the game, well done.
