good effort by our lads on saturday. 5 down at qtr time but settled after that to record a solid win. well ump'd by the father / son combination.
important game this weekend to hold on to the double chance spot for a bit longer.
Are you stealing my thunder. Well done to you guys on the weekend, playing some consistent footy, well done to Rosies aswell to put them back in the race. Walking across the oval on Saturday after the game, one of the Ingle Farmers said to another "9 goals 7, that's 10 goals, we'll take that". It was excellent to see their spirit not dampened and they could still take positives out of the game, well done.

As for WOS a week is a long time in footy and it showed, back among the pack again but looking forward to the next 6 weeks, getting a few guys back and see if we can sneak in.

Well then seems your club isnt "ticking all the boxes" like you claim as you put in your club newsletter and footy budget after you beat Ingle Farm.
All well and good to sit back and ramble crap on after you knock the bottom side who everyone is beating, but you gotta be able to do it against the front runners. Perhaps a little modesty against the lower teams and quit blowing your own trumpet, come back when you compete against the top sides then tell people your "ticking off all the boxes"

D4 there is some good sides and that is where I'd say the standard may be matched up the high end of the ladder. Just the sheer pace they move the ball is far greater than the lower divisions which would expose big gaps. No shame however

I umpired a div 2res match last year on anzac day, two reasonable sides, i think both figured in finals. The one thing that i noticed that would be the biggest difference is pace, they were zip-zapping all over the field, quicker than anythign i umpired in div 5, 6, 7 that year.
The skills may be on a level playing field but the pace is what will set the difference, i would assume that a div 1res side would be as quick as a div 2res side.
