Essendon worth a look coming off a 8 day break. A short week on the other hand for Sydney.

Could be interesting to see if the Cats pick up any injuries from yesterdays classic .. Was a fairly physically demanding encounter and they have a days less break than the Lions (after saying all of that, I'd still be surprised to see the Cats lose) ... Essendon looks a good call for value though.

Essendon are overs. I thought it would be $1.90 each of 2

Thanks Mal ;)

I've had a small amount at the line every time a team is off an 8 day break v a team off a 6 day break. Seems to have gone pretty well. (cancels out all the other money I lose!)

I wouldn't be surprised if the cats and the saints are a little flat this week after the build up to yesterdays game and the fact it would've taken lots out of them.

Essendon look good value as do the kangaroos to me, the Hawks are shot.

Gonna have a crack at this multi:

1016 Wst Bulldogs $1.60
1003 Carlton $1.28
1007 Geelong $1.36
1008 Hawthorn $1.50
1013 St Kilda $1.20

Would throw in Port and Crows as well, but I'm a Crows man and hate the Power don't want either of them to kill my multi.....

IIRC the Western Bulldogs have only beaten one team in the 8 so far. Adelaide, before Adelaide's pick up of form.

I reckon Collingwood are good value, based on that.

Everyone's going on how good the Doggies are but they've played the Roos & the Tigers twice already. Have lost to the Saints,
Cats & Carlton. So have only played 4 teams in the 8. Pretty soft draw IMO, to see true form.

Essendon look pretty good too.

If you look at who the Pies have played in their games since Rd 7 (Saints) it isn't much harder.

Blues - loss
Eagles - win
Power - win
Melb - win 2nd time
Swans - win
Dockers - win
Bombers - win

3 teams that are fighting for a priority draft pick and 4 teams that will finish 7th at best.

My money would/will be going towards the Bullies

If only I heard the news of Geelong's late withdrawals a little earlier, probably would have taken Brisbane ATS. Must have been a bit of a plunge on Sportsbet, the game has been removed for now.

Anyone have any reason why there is a decent difference in the betting in tonights game?

WB $1.60
Coll $2.40

Both teams in good form. WB played sat night and Collingwood last friday. WB missing most likely 1 out of their best 22 and C'wood are pretty well full strength. Not saying C'wood are certainties but i thought this would be a lot closer in the betting.

$2.40 seems like good value???

Sportsbet have the 'Pies +10.5 @ 1.92.

However, pUnitab had the line +12.5. Not sure what the odds are currently.

Love the Bombers tomorrow - will be my biggy of the round

Give Freo a huge show of covering the line against the Crows - Crows havent covered teh spread in any of their 5 night games this year, they go superb during the day but at night they arent as impressive

Brisbane line opened up at +20.5, now +9.5, I think its still a good bet

Port should smash Melbourne

agree with everything you've said dutchman, exept the "port should smash melbourne" bit.

i have picked port in all my tips/bets, but rekon this is the sort of game that port fails to impose themselves on.

i hope i'm wrong, as it means more $$ and more tips for me, but i wouldnt be surprised if they go down by 2 or 3 goals.
