Very poor form Choc! In my opinion poor form from them all round. They had no official umpires, just players doing it. Had players swapping guernsies during the game going from boundary umpire to players! THey had a bloke who was supposed to play as the field umpire. Not knocking the guy he did the best he could. If uni want to field so many sides all well and good but at the very least arrange support staff to work with these sides. Last season we had neally enough players to field a D grade but not the support staff so we had no D grade. Yes players missed out on games but so be it. Im not in any way saying the guys on the day were doing anything wrong(with the exceotion of one!!) they had to go with what they had, im just saying that they should be made to have these things in place before nominating for a side.

As for the particular clown i say this, he will say these comments to the wrong person one day and it will bite him hard. ONe of our team said to me after the game if he had heard one of our players say such a comment he would refuse to play football with him, i tend to agree. One of the worst things i have heard of on a footy field in my life! Disgraceful!

Heads up to anyone heading to Fitzroy this week, someone helped themselves to a few wallets on saturday during the C4 game. I was stupid enough to leave my bag in the changerooms and had $80 stolen (forgot to take my bag to the car).

I think in total we had about $150 taken.

I'm more dirty on myself for leaving my bag in there than anything else, first game back for a few years, forgot the 'away match routine' of locking valuables away.

Happy as a dog with 2 dicks after the win, bagged 5 goals for myself, then get changed and looking to purchase a celebratory ale in fitzroy's bar, open up the wallet and the cupboard was bare!!!

how about heads up to anyone playing anywhere? :?
We (the Fitzroy FC) are disappointed that items were stolen during the game- we were just as much at risk as yourselves.
We encourage our players to submit valuables after getting changed, whether we are at home or away.
You coach approached us after the game & informed us, & stated that it had happened at Plympton too....

Yeah i know, it happens everywhere. I didnt have a go at anyone at fitzroy because it probably would be a kid who has nothing to do with the club. Was more pissed at myself.

Haven't they got a side below C4? I know they are up to about 2039 on the back of their guernseys, but surely they can't be swapping during the game?

When we played them they did the same. A bloke would run off through interchange, take off his guernsey and give it to another player to run on the field. Surely they can't do that can they? What happens if one of them gets reported - how many front the tribunal...and player votes etc.

We didn't say anything about it at the time - as it doesn't really affect the result, but still a bit dodgy!
