Best of luck mate its never good to see any club go through hard times. No club should fold if they have the abilityto stay and make a contribution to the league. With your membership size (not toosure on your numbers) Surely the players and their families would want to sve teir own club? All the best Ace

Maybe you guys should email the footy show or try to get in contact with them in some way, they seem to appreciate hard luck grassroots stories and maybe they could help. i know it may sound far fetched but you gotta try anything, im sure if you told them bout the history and that you've been around 100+ years you may get some sort of response...??

An old mate just reminded me that last time we played at Ovies, someone pinched our wallets. I would have had around $20-$30 in those days - I'm reducing mine to $80 you mongrels...

Too few players, too many football clubs. Sad reality is that some have to fold. Goodbye Ovingham.

Thanks for the kind thoughts Boris, you'd be the sort of guy who'd steal your Mother's jewellery and then cry "thief" just to claim the insurance.

Thanks to Luke Hosie & the team from the Amateur Footy Budget for their pledge of $100.00 plus an offer of a FREE page in the number ONE SAAFL footy mag.at any time for the promotion of or towards the Ovingham Football Club.

Might be a bit of a challenge to the people at the SAAFL with their football magazine, maybe a donation towards a worthy cause wouldn't go astray and win over a few hearts in the process. Good idea!

My point is not every football club can survive. Especially in an area with a changing demographic and numerous other clubs. Saving Ovingham doesn't serve any other purpose than sentiment.

You must be involved down at Thebby in some capacity. Yes Ovies face an uphill battle but a club with 100 plus years of history just close its doors because its too hard without even trying. That is what is wrong with the Kids of today, They chuck in the towel far too soon and go home crying to mummy.
