All discussions to do with the SANFL

Must admit, for the good of the SANFL if it was Port, Glenelg, Norwood or Sturt playing the Eagles I'd be barracking for one of those 4 teams.
What's wrong with wanting a healthy crowd at the showcase of our great competition?

Noones saying its anyone's fault, its just a wish that most SANFL fans would want and I agree with it.
The crowds since 2000 (except for 2002) have been disgraceful IMHO and its not the Dogs fans fault.

And its not like the Eagles don't have the supporters too, most of them are just lazy.
There was 42,000 there in 1993 and a majority were Eagles fans.
There were over 35,000 at the GF in 2000 in total too.
Where the hell are they now?

Its got to the stage where some SANFL fans think the Adelaide Oval should host the GF as they don't realise 35,000 + were the norm before 2001.

Even the most blind Eagles fan know that the atmosphere, size of the crowd and the spectacle as a whole will be better for North v Central and surely you can understand neutral fans wanting this scenario?

Back on the games at hand I still reckon the Eagles are with a real shot of taking out the flag, mind you I thought they'd win last week and about 4 other times this century against the Dogs in finals.

they all play BINGO on sundays so its not the best day for the G/F to be played on when the EAGLES are there.

Actually that comment isn't as stupid as it sounds as the 1993 GF was on a Saturday, they've all been played on Sundays since.

I personally think all finals should be played on a Saturday with the Prelim on a Friday night to avoid the GF with the GF always on a Saturday.
It'll cost them again this year.
There's nothing on Saturday but Bathurst is on.
If North didn't have a senior team in the GF I'd be home watching Bathurst and I have free tickets!
Surely something the SANFL should look at.

Yep, i reckon the last 6 Gf's Centrals have had atleast 20,000 in the crowd, including 2004, when there was only 24,000 @ the game, if any 2002 was probably the year our support was down.

You need to grab your cockadoodledoo a little harder and give it a good spanking sunshine. The Eagles have proved year in and year out that they are a step above the majority of the comp and they deserve to be in the GF even more than your mob. Don't worry about the crowd. We'll get our share there. We have been the inform side of the comp for most of the season and will bounce back this week. We very rarely lose two in a row and I don't think this time will be any different.

did u even read the post.

Yes and I responded. That was a pointless post

The final doesn't usually clash with Bathurst, it's only this year with everything a week later.

I know, that comment was specific to this year hence why I've been at other SANFL GFs over the years when North hasn't been involved.
