I watched the vid. The coach was reading it out.

I can only guess, but I'd say there wouldn't be too much lingering animosity. You use those kinds of things to fire up for a certain game, but at the end of the day, most people can still have a beer and a laugh about it afterwards.

I've paid for that for 5 years, it was silly and a i lost a lot of respect from some plympton people over what happened.

Those videos are from last year so not related.
To put the videos in context with a bit of a story go tohttp://rosewater.locallinks.com.au/

Top dog13 or Bradman will be able to confirm Jabbers story. Jabber, it's dangerous to stereotype but I guess its a lesson learnt. There is, of course, an exception to the stereotype rule, something about college poofs.... ;)

As i said mate, ive paid for what i did, and was really hard on myself over the whole thing, and sdo were others toward me.

The next time our 1s played rosies i was playing and in my head i was thinking things like 'i hope they really smash me so i can at least say i'v been punished for it' my head was screwed over the whole thing.

and let me say again, i'm really really sorry.

Look if i do that it will just stir up old s***t between plympton and rosewater, when to be honest the club had nothing to do with it. so i dont want to do that.

I used to write a booklet each week called the bulldog files which was a bit of a piss take on footy, and footyu clubs, and i used to dish it out to PFC as well dont worry.

Where i usded to work they always wanted to read a copy coz it was piss funny, and i changed jobs and asked if anyoe at my new work wanted to have a read of it, and one of the guys who said yes just happened to be B. Horsell, i believe he took a photocopy of it, and next minute i'm getting prank calls (coz my phone number was on it) and then when we played a final there they cut & pasted all the bits about rosewater (which was a lot of material), and put it all on one page, and then a3'd it and plastered it everywhere, especially through the plympton changerooms, i think there was about 100 copies taped up on the walls!!!

But im not telling you what was in it.

For all Rosewater people, they weren't my views on the club, as i had actually never been there at the time, but it was just for entertainment value, cheap shots to give the PFC boys a laugh.

It got out of hand, and i've paid for it many times over.

im gonna be fair what idiot would put there own mobile number on it

Thats a fair call, but it was not supposed to be a newsletter that goes out to other clubs. It was a fake phone poll, which i think i'd done before that i reckon.

In hindsight, if i knew it would be leaked out, then no, i wouldnt have put my number on it.

So Rosies, how is your oval looking atm? HV is looking pretty churned up round the centre, will make for an interesting C grade game tonight if the weather keeps this up. How are other ovals looking at this time of year?

Yeah it appears to be quite good (from the bar). No games on it at all last weekend so had a chance to recover.

I wrote an article in our club e-newsletter about a game where i said that a particular player played a blinder, because he had doen every game that year, and i'd done it before and it had been correct...

You have written many a good article in your clubs newsletters
1 about 6 years ago was a classic re Rosewater and Smithfield!
Yes.. that particular one certainly hit the headlines...

I actually had a look at that one a few months ago, couldnt believe that i wrote half the stuff i did!!!
Was that the one that Rosies used to fire themselves up for that finals game at Rosewater Oval ? I remember seeing it copied and attached to light poles all around the ground. Interesting day that one, ended in a rather ugly brawl between supporters after the game.
Only time i seen Portland and Rosewater come together as 1 ;)

Needless to say it culminated in me having to do a public apology to the Plympton Footy Club on the microphone that night before presentations.

BUT i did not start that brawl, i'm a lover not a fighter, once i saw every lamp post, fence post, door, wall, window, stoby pole, light tower plastered with the edition in question i kept my mouth well and truly shut for the entirity of the match!!!!

You didn't start the fire, you just took the petrol and matches
thats probably a fair assesment

But let me get one thing clear... i'm sorry it ever happened

And the Rosewater boys took their agression out onme the year after when i played in the 1's against them, and then again that cricket season when i copped a barrage of bouncers not seen since bodyline. And then for the next 2 years with prank phone calls at all hours of the night.

so surely we're square!?!?!?!
and still has the same Number!

At the end of the day i deserve everything i copped from it, it was a stupid thing to do.

I just hope that PFC doesnt get tarnished for life for something that they didnt play any part in.

Hopefully Rosewater has moved on from it, fingers crossed. I totally understand if they havent though.
